He has brown hair, brown eyes, an unassuming face and voice, and is of midheight. He is barrel chested like his father and light skinned like his mother. He has a gentle smile rarely bestowed upon any but his child and spouse. He has large, strong hands, and he wears several rings. His clothing is of fine material and he does not lack for food, as seen in the belly he has started to develop. Background: Pelenor was a younger son. This might not have been a bad thing in, say, Keroon, but sandy Ista has little to offer in way of holdings for sons, especially four of them. Though raised as a prince, by the age of seventeen he was aware that his prospects were grim. He strove hard to win his father's respect, and he did, but Bradakor, his eldest brother, was equally competant and far older when old Dakonor succumbed. Pelenor, 22, was without a future. Pelenor drifted for the next five years, doing nothing but lounging around. Then Pelenor met Ohina. Ohina was graceful, witty, and beautiful. Pelenor met her at a gather, during the dancing. She had no partner, and neither did he. She smiled in his direction, and he was smitten. He asked her for one dance; they danced twenty. Their courtship continued throughout the next few months at gathers and feasts. She always seemed to be around whenever a harper was playing a dance tune, always on hand whenever he was bored or lonely.
On the Midsummer's Eve Gather he proposed to her. She accepted. They were happily married, and soon she bore him a son, Pedouin. He was delighted. Though Pelenor had no real future - all he really did was minor stewardship - he was content with his beautiful family. Then he heard of the new weyr and holds opening in the south. He was eligible; the Lord Holder's Conclave awarded the position to him. He asked Ohina to come with him, certain she would come. He never thought her ties to Ista were so strong. Yet she did not want to go. She promised him she would join him if, after a year, he still wished her to come. He was
saddened, but he knew he would have a better future, and could provide better for his wife and son. Personality: Pelenor is a gentle man, slow to anger and quick to friendship. He would far rather talk things out than engage in a fight and arguement. While some construe that as weakness others applaud it as tact and diplomacy, necessary qualities in a male.
