He has a scar just above his nose, from Threadfall. The scar gives him a very rough look. He has oddly handsome features that are only marred a little by his scar. He is in very good shape! He has burly arms and is rather intimidating, at first sight. He has friendly features though, that make him seem approachable. his smile is always warm, unless a Weyrling is in error. His rough look keeps his charges in line, but they know they can talk to him about anything. Personality: This, however, is the opposite of what he is. He is helpful and firm. Kind and stern. He is a teacher. Born and true. He knows when to give discipline and give encouragement. He knows what to teach like second nature. He wouldn't be complete if he couldn't teach the weyrlings. and a part is the happiness he gets when he sees Candidates Impress and then grow up under his eye and then they graduate and he has a new batch of eager weyrlings. Outside of teaching, he has hardly any other life. His life is weyrlings and that is fine with him.
Background: Growing up in Ista Weyr, his dream was always to ride a dragon. A bronze! Up until his father died, he would spend time with his blue and try to figure out just what was needed in a rider. He studied dragons and his parents almost sent him for dragonhealing training, until he proved to have no flare for healing. He was crushed by his father's death by thread. He was depressed for months , until the Hatching. he was off to the sides, not paying any attention. When Lesath would have no other, D'nel was finally snapped from his depression! His dreams of a bronze went out the window when he looked into Lesath's eyes. They were devoted weyrlings, excelling in werling excersises and helping the slower ones. This prompted the Weyrlingmaster to take him on for training. Upon the Masters death, D'nel was the obvious predessesor. There companionship and trust was well known and D'nel and lesath settled into their position. and then his son was born. A joyous occasion on any other time. But his mate died in his birth and D'nel was distraught. He doted on Tarnel as his link to his mate. But he grew up and D'nel had to let go. His son is now a capable dragon healer journeyman. When he heard R'mal's call for volunteers at a new Weyr, he jumped at the opportunity. Or he would have except he had recently been scored on his right arm and was unable to between then. But, when he was healed, he jumped on Lesath within an hour of the healer's permission to fly.
Dragon: Name: Lesath Color: Brown Age: 15 Appearence: Lesath is a medium brown. He had a scar on his foreleg from the same incident that gave D'nel his scar. He is a chocolate brown color, light and happy like he is. He has the agility to catch a green, but seems somehow uninterested in greens, occasionally going after a gold. it has been awhile since he has caught any. Personality: Lesath tends to be a playful dragon. He enjoys a good water fight and ball game every once and awhile. But, watch out, when he finds a weyrling dragon misbehaving, or not listening to Him or her. He sometimes employees the fear a gold can inspire in a young pair. Mainly used as a threat. But, don't be misled. He is caring as well. He is an all around dragon. alittle of everything and not a extreme in anything. |
