| Chapter Three - Zell | ||||||
| Hot dogs, hot dogs, hot dogs! The first thing I remember in the morning. I quickly put on some sweat pants and a t-shirt and ran out of my dorm to the cafeteria. I ran to the lunchlady and asked, �Do you have any hot dogs left?� �Ofcorse, Zell, we do,� the lady answered as she handed me a hot dog. �Alright!� I cried as I threw my fist up into the air. I happily ran and sat down at a table. I took a big bite out of the hot dog. I loved these things, but I have to hurry in order to get them. I�ve learned to hurry every time I want hot dogs. �Excuse me,� I heard a voice say. I looked up and I saw a girl with green eyes and brown hair standing over me. �Hello,� I replied. �I transfered here from another Garden, and I need some help getting around.� �Okay, let me just fix myself up,� I replied. I liked meeting new people. I looked into her eyes. Wow. Something came over me. A new feeling. I shook myself out of it. I stood up and said, �I�m Zell Dincht.� �THE Zell Dincht?� the girl asked, astonished. �The man who fought Sorceress Ultimecia? And Seifer?� My face turned red, �That�s me!� She shook my hand, �I�m Judith Demarsberg.� �It�s nice to meet you,� I replied. We began to walk to my dorm. �Where did you transfer here from?� I asked. �Galbadia Garden.� I stood back. We fought hundreds of Galbadian Soilders during our mission to defeat the Sorceress. She looked at me, then realized why I stood back. She giggled and said, �I�m not a Galbadian soilder, I�m a SeeD.� I stepped just a little closer. �All the Galbadian soilders were just high ranked SeeD�s anyway,� she continued. �Why did you transfer?�I asked. �Galbadia was just closer to where my parents live. I always wanted to go to Balamb - it�s beautiful.� I looked around. Galbadia Garden was definitely bigger, but Balamb was more tranquil. Balamb was more of a garden. Beautiful plants grew as they creeped across the ceiling. The pitter-patter was something you could listen to for hours. She was right. �My parents told me that when I became a SeeD I could go to Balamb. But when I did, Galbadia was under Seifer�s tyranny. I decided to hide in Galbadia Garden until it was all over.� �I was in Galbadia, but only for a short time. And the place was crawling with monsters.� We reached my dorm. �Stay out here,� I said as I went into my bathroom to change. When I was finished, I went back out of find Judith sitting on my bed looking at my gloves. �The one you�re looking at is the Premium Heart glove. It was my grandmother�s,� I said. �Tifa Lockheart�s,� she whispered. �Greatness runs in the family, huh?� �I guess, but I�m still in this dorm.� �When do you want to leave?� �I dunno,� I replied as I scratched my head, �Maybe when I find myself a wife. Me and her could move to Esthar and live there forever.� What am I doing? I feel so at ease with this girl. �I love Esthar. I only passed though there once with my parents, though,� Judith commented. �Maybe I�ll take you some day,� �Do you have a girlfriend?� �I don�t know if that�s what you call it. She likes me.� �Do you like her?� I thought for a moment. She just told me she liked me at the party. I just replied �maybe we should spend some time together� and she went ballistic! �Actually, I don�t really know if I like like her. We haven�t spent enough time together,� I answered. She looked at a picture of my friends and me. �Is this you in the middle?� she asked. �That�s me! And Squall, Rinoa, Selphie, Irvinne and Quistis!� I triumphantly pointed out. �The whole gang. You guys are really famous in Galbadia.� �Are we?� I was amazed. We bagn walking toward the Parking Lot. �I�m going to give you the whole tour!� I said. �Thank you,� she politely answered. �What�s you specialty as a SeeD?� I asked. �Mine are my fists o� fire!� I began punching the air. �I�m really good with chinese stars and wind magic.� We came to the Parking Lot. �This is the Parking Lot, students can get cars here.� �Duh,� she replied. I laughed, �I guess that is kind of a duh, isn�t it?� We continued on. �Have you had any experience with GFs?� I asked. �GFs? You mean Guardian Forces?� �Ofcorse!� �Not really. I decided that if I needed to, I�ll use them.� �Selphie came up with some research that shows that GFs use the memory space in your brain. And you can loose little bits and pieces of your memory.� �Your memories or power - tough choice.� �Not really, you can remeber everything if you keep a journal.� �A diary?� �I call mine a journal.� �Kind of like a manly diary, huh?� She giggled. I scratched my head. �This is the Training Center,� I continued. �You can practice your skills, but be careful, loose monsters are running around in there and you do not want to pass out. That�s why is good not to go in alone.� �Have you ever passed out in there, Zell?� �Me? Nah. It�s pretty hard to die when all you fight are Grats. Plus I go in with my friends all the time.� �Then why are you telling me about dying and passing out?� �The T-Rexaur.� She nodded. She knows what I�m talking about. The T-Rexaur is the meanest damn animal in the whole place. But you can learn a lot from fighting it. We continued. �I really appreciate this,� she said. �It�s no problem, I�m on vacation.� �Vacation? Why don�t you go out and travel?� �I have family in Balamb.� �All of my family is in Deling City.� �Did you go to the parade?� �I remember the parade. I wasn�t there, but it was in the news. How was jail?� I remember the parade. Sorceress Ultimecia possessed Edea. Then Squall, Irvinne, and Rinoa had to attack after Selphie, Quistis and I trapped her. We were thrown into the D-District Prison near Deling City. Rinoa and Irvinne gout out and Squall was being tortured by Seifer. I can�t believe Squall stayed strong during the whole ordeal. �Prison was horrible, Judith,� I began. �When I said one thin, the guards punched me in the gut because we were all unarmed. When I stood up for the Moomba that was being abused, the guard beat me up totally. But it was all good when we escaped.� �Wow, you are so brave,� she said admireingly. �I�m not, Squall is. He took all those electric shocks.� We came to the library. �This is the library. You�ll be in here a lot. The girls love me.� �You cound conceided.� �It�s not my fault.� �I don�t blame them.� I looked at her. She giggled. I laughed. The intercom bells came on, �Would Student Number 84734 Judith Demarsberg please report to her dorm.� �Sorry, Zell, I have to go,� she said. She smiled, �Thank you for the tour.� She kissed me on the cheek. �That�s only one-half of it!� I called. She left. I really like her. |
