| The �Ocean Of Soul� Marching Band was invited to perform in a Martin Luther King Parade and a Battle of the Bands with Langston University in Wichita, Kansas. This was the first time that Wichita has hosted such an event. The Battle of the Bands turned out to be a great success with the handicap of 8-degree weather, and no lines visible on the field. The �Ocean� is still #1. The joining together after the Battle in the hotel rooms and before our departure at the church was fun. The Bruhs of Gamma Omega really appreciated Delta Alpha�s company and hope to see them soon at District Convention.
February 1, 2003 the �Ocean� performed for the Dallas Mavericks Basketball Game in Dallas, Texas. While in town, the Band performed at Townview Senior High School.
