And so the journey continued, though mostly by force and not by choice.  For days they walked only to stop when the Dream Beauties felt like it, which was not very often because their long legs held up well.  They traveled through forests, meadows, Thorn Thicket, and presently, a humid, nasty smelling bog.
Were lost, thought Magic Star hopelessly, I cant believe I let Bubbles talk me into this.  This is ridiculous, were lost, I know it.  Theyre just not telling us...
Magic... a soft voice said beside her, interrupting her thoughts.  It was Fifi.
Yeah?
I dont know how much longer I can hold up.  We havent stopped for good, clear water in days.  My hoofs are starting to crack, she said, holding up a dry, bleeding hoof.
Magic Star sighed.  She could hear Shady jabbering in the back.  Shed been talking the whole time...oh god, she was so sick of hearing her voice.
This is all my fault.  If I hadnt have woken up that morning, everyone would come into my room and see what the matter was and we would have been inside when it rained and then those wolf things wouldnt have decided to eat us.  I just know its all my fault and I--
SHUT UP!! screeched one of the Beauties as she whirled around. WERE KNEE HIGH IN STINKING MUCK AND ALL YOU CAN DO IS TALK?!  SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP!  NEXT TIME I HEAR ONE WORD FROM YOU ILL MAKE YOU WISH YOUD NEVER BEEN BORN!  MON DIEU!!
Even Apple Jack and Raincurl stopped their quiet chatter.  No one spoke, they were all in shock.  May Fair, the Beauty who yelled, turned around quietly and continued walking.  The ponies all slowly turned their heads around to look at wide staring eyes and Shady.  Her pink face was even pinker, and big tears began to well up in her sad blue eyes.  She choked back a sob, looked down at the brownish slop, and began walking.  The others followed suit and walked silently behind the Beauties.
Several minutes went by before anyone spoke.  It was Raincurl who broke the silence by engaging in a polite conversation with Tootie Tails.  Other ponies began talking in soft whispers.
Magic, Im so thirsty, complained Stockings.  Suddenly, Magic Star was very angry.  Dont tell ME youre thirsty! Im thirsty too!  Im not here to listen to you idiots complain all day! she thought.  But then she remembered that they were all on the same boat together.  Yelling and throwing a tantrum wasnt going to help the situation any.
We all are, Stockings.  Well stop soon, she replied.  She actually had no idea when they were going to stop.  Now that May Fair was angrier than a hornet, it could well be a few more days.  Everyone knew if they didnt stop soon, they would inevitably perish.  The thought of that made Magic Star tremble.  This wasnt supposed to happen.  It was harvest time, they were supposed to be celebrating and laughing and dying of thirst should be the last thing they should ever think about.
Over the next to hours they traveled, Magic Star couldnt stop thinking about their fate.  Would they die?  Is Queen Tiffany sending out search parties?  Does anyone even realize theyre gone?  Are they lost?  Who are they Dream Beauties anyway?  No one else had heard of them besides Bubbles... oh why had she even agreed to go the Beau Nuage anyway?  She had led the others to believe that she was the leader and then led them into a foreign atmosphere, surrounded by stuck-up, vapid thieving minks who had nothing better to do than stare at themselves in the mirror.  If only she would have just asked for directions instead of staying...
Now the whole herd was going to pay for it.
They were going to die.
