Apple Jack ran blindly away with Fifi in close pursuit. Apple Jack couldnt believe what she had just seen. Was Magic dead? She looked over her shoulder and saw the creatures still biting her. She looked ahead to find a horse creature in front of her. This was no pony, mind you, this was a horse... tall and slender with long hair and sparkling eyes. She cantered gracefully onto the battlefield thicket and glared at what was happening, ponies were going down left and right. One of the ugly things spotted the horse and let out a terrible shriek. The others raised their heads and had the same reaction. They scattered and flew away into the distance, leaving the ponies bewildered. The elegant horse stood and looked around, as if demanding an explanation. The ponies stared in awe. This was not a sweet heart sister, she was taller and more dignified. She had the thin legs of a flutter pony, yet no wings. What was she? Dream Gleamer!! shouted Bubbles. Bubbles! exclaimed the horse. What in creation are you doing here? Well, ya see... Bubbles began, and told the entire story. Thats quite an adventure for all of you little ponies, said Dream Gleamer wryly. You all look exhausted. How about you bring your friends to Beau Nuage for the night, Bubbles. Oh Dream Gleamer, youre much too kind! Wed be delighted! Cmon guys, lets go, youll love it there Im positive! Bubbles squeaked. Magic Star looked at the rest of the herd for their response. They seemed just as eager to sleep in a warm bed as she did. She turned towards Bubbles and nodded. It wasnt long until they finally reached Beau Nuage, the Dream Beauties cloud on which they lived. They all leaped, one by one, into the lovely cloud. SPLASH DANCER!!!!!! yelled Dream Gleamer as soon as they arrived. We have new guests!!!!! Get down here right away to fix them up with a room! Just then, a light blue earth pony came racing down the magnificent stairway, and halting in front of the horse. Y-Yes maam? she panted. Ehemm, its about time. Fix the ponies up with a room will you dear? Oh, and, dont get in my way today. Ive had a terrible day. Just look at my hair! Its wretched, ugh, simply terrible... frizzy and disgusting. Look at my face too! UGH! It needs to be washed, I should have never gone outside. My eyes are dry, stupid wind... UGH, she complained, and walked off. Follow me, said Splash Dancer, leading them up the staircase. Is she always so rude? asked Raincurl incredulously. W-Well, I dont complain much. I was raised by them, you see. They say they found me in the woods, crying, so they took me in. Im grateful, mind you, I just... I hate being with them. Theyre so vain and mean! All they ever do is bicker bicker bicker! They bite each other and prance around all day like theyre queens! elaborated Splash Dancer as she opened the door to theyre room. Thats terrible! Almost as bad as those ugly things we just got done fighting with. Oh, by the way, how are your wounds, Magic? asked Fifi. Oh! You mean Night Ghasts. They swarm around here everywhere, said Splash Dancer. Whoa... gasped Steamer as he saw the room. They may be rude, but they sure have taste! Be that as it may, I still dont like the way they treated you, said Raincurl to Splash Dancer. Dont worry about me, I dont mind, at least I have a place to stay. Hey! exclaimed Tootie Tails. You could come back to Dream Castle with us! Youd love it there. Ohhh... I dunno. The Dream Beauties want me here, to help them manage, I guess. Well, think about it at least! Oh I will. In the mean time, heres your room! I hope you enjoy it, this is my favorite room, said Splash Dancer, she left the room and shut the door. Magic Star flopped herself on a bed and sighed a deep, heavy sigh, and was asleep in seconds. |
