Illusions

Sittin' on the back of a Greyhound Bus
watchin' the world go by
Listening to the same old stories
he's told so many times
The time goes by so slowly
dragging at the pace of a snail
He tries so hard to fit in
and to find someone who cares

The sound of the jukebox is like a soundtrack
to the lost souls playing their games
Time passes them by quickly
but their memory still remains
Their potential in life is limited
by their small and narrow minds
Their lives they keep on living
but their souls they leave behind

chorus
Illusions of happiness
False hopes and dreams
What does it mean
Lost and lonely souls
Wandering aimlessly
Trying to find their dreams

solo

He goes through life not noticing
anyones joy or pain
He never considers other peoples emotions
'cause he never shows his own
His soul is trapped in his body
like a prison
Because he lives his life fulfilling
other peoples visions

repeat chorus
