| Michael Edward Walters Superman / Clark Kent |
|||||||||
| Michael Walters was born and raised on the East End of Long Island, New York. He always had a love for the movies; but unlike his fellow cast members, his background was not initially geared towards acting
He was very active in the Naval Junior Reserves Officer Training Corp at Riverhead High School. He was the drill team leader, the Commanding Officer and awarded "Top Cadet" honors. As a cadet, he was also chosen to perform "Taps" for the "Survivor's of Pearl Harbor" and the "Fleet Reserve" Associations on the anniversary of "Peal Harbor" and for various funerals of their members. This helped Mike establish his concept and understanding of real heroes and heroism as role models in his life. Upon graduation he joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17, and was ironically stationed in Japan. He was assigned to a Civil Engineering Squadron at Yokota Air Base, located just outside of Tokyo. His tour of duty in Japan lasted 4 years, and he became quite proficient at speaking conversational Japanese. When he returned to the United States, he decided to pursue acting. Despite having no experience, he auditioned and was accepted by the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Manhattan, New York. It is there where he met and eventually roomed with fellow cast members Jason Bailey and Enrique Arce. He has since had the lead roles in many independent projects. He can be seen (or shall we say heard) in the English version of the Japanimation film "Beautiful Dreamer II" (also known by its Japanese title- "Urusai Yatsura"), in which he plays one of the main characters named "PERMA". He has also made appearances as a pilot in the Babylon 5 movie titled "The Crusade", and also often as a pilot on the hit TV show "JAG". "Superman: Luthor For President" was a first for Michael Walters as a film maker, as well as fullfuilling a childhood dream. Aside from producing/directing/ editing duties etc, he also plays the roles of "Clark Kent" / "Superman" and even "The Joker". Realizing that these characters are extremely important to their legions of fans, and understanding that portraying them would be very "big shoes to fill", he has tried to remain very true to the characters in every way possible. He hopes that this film will be viewed as an homage to the film's starring Christopher Reeve, one of his childhood idols whom he had the honor of meeting when Mr. Reeve received his star on the Hollywood "Walk of Fame."
