Cerris
Morgan-Moyer

Lois Lane
Cerris Morgan-Moyer was born and bred in Cornwall, England.  Her first film experience, A Different Drummer (BBC 1984), the fictionalized biography of blind and deaf Cornish poet Jack Clemo, engendered a connection to storytelling through film and theatre which inevitably led her to London, New York City and now Los Angeles. She divides her living and working time between these locations as smoothly as possible!

She trained at Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and went on to receive a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College in NYC.  In New York she has performed in much off-Broadway and off-off-Broadway theatre, with and without such companies as Gorilla Rep and Faux Real Theatre.  Highlights of those theatre credits include Hermia (A Midsummer Nights Dream), Cordelia (King Lear), Bianca (The Taming of the Shrew), Gretchen (Faust), Sonja (The Chamberpot).  She also performed in many new plays developed for Theatre Row and Chashama 42nd Street: Blue Girl (FunBox Times Square), Teresa (Chicago Pulp), Mona (The Naked Show), Mark Anthony (William Shakespeares Haunted House), Maggie (Talk to Me), Janet (Where Im Headed) and Talking Jazz.

She started working in independent film in NYC (The Dance, First Time, Whos Your Angel), and has immersed herself in developing her film technique since arriving in Los Angeles two and a half years ago.  She has appeared in AFI thesis Passages, as the lead in LA Film School thesis The Yellow Wallpaper, and as a principal in First Shot Films science fiction Galaxy Hunter.  Last year she returned to London to play the lead in the short film Mr.49, and to work on the new BBC series Wild West.  She can also occasionally be seen co-starring on Days of Our Lives.  She is currently performing in the U.S. premiere of Nick Darkes The Body (www.thebody.web.com) at the Matrix Theatre, in which she is delighted to play Cornish once again!  This play is slated to move to NYC in the fall.  Other LA theatre credits:  Calaih (Sisters of the Winter Madrigal by Beth Henley, world premiere) and Sky Skrapper (No Scratch).

Cerris is currently collaborating on the screenplay of The Naked Show, a multi-media performance she headed in New York City.  She is also studying American Sign Language with a view to interpreting and incorporating this amazing visual language into her performance life.

It was a pleasure to work with the talented creators, crew and cast of Luthor for President. She wishes everyone involved all the best in their creative careers!
