From the District Director:

Dear Orange County District clubs and members,

Orange County District of California Garden Clubs Inc. is a vibrant and exciting district with talented members.  We are about gardening, the environment, youth, beautification, education, and letting the world know about the good we do.  Local clubs are the roots that support the tree of National Garden Clubs.   Our roots are deep and well watered.  I will continue to strengthen and support district clubs in working with the following ideas.

By telling the gardening world what you are doing by submitting your projects to Golden Gardens, local and county publications.

By sponsoring a Gardening Study School. Remember you dont have to be a member of  garden clubs to attend the school, so share information with your friends.

The Floral Arts Guild was terrific place for those wanting to learn more about floral design.  Meetings and workshops will be reinstated this year to promote this exciting aspect of garden clubs.

New members and new clubs can add exciting ideas to our club activities.  The neighbor down the street maybe the person to help achieve this.

By providing Youth programs to the next generation of gardeners; find a school or youth organization that needs your support.

By promoting Blue Star Memorials we recognize those fearless citizens that protect us.

By supporting a District project to have each club plant a tree at their local park, botanic garden, school, Penny Pines or other special place. Support the CGCI tree project at the Conejo Botanic Garden.  Love those trees and the oxygen they provide for the world.
