The Sylmar course at Veteran's park is located on the grounds of the VA hospital that was destroyed in the 1971 Sylmar earthquake. The grounds are beautiful, and the air is eerily quiet and peaceful. The gr?ound here seems a bit askew from seismic activity, making you think you're in some sort of funhouse where the floors are tilted.

There are some great long shots here, and some very technical ones as well. The course is very well organized and fun to play. Every hole is unique and equally challenging. The downhill shots are very long and straight, making birdies flow naturally here.

One thing I've always wondered about this park is why there is no memorial. There is no mention of any of the events that transpired in 1971, or any memorium to the 50 who lost their lives when the hospital collapsed.
