Morley field in San Diego: quite possibly the most unique course in all of California.
This course is nestled on a hillside in a thick grove of trees in the Balboa Park section of San Diego. There are no extremely long throws here, but many 300 plus with lots of great downhill shots. For the experienced disc golfer, there is a possible birdie on every hole. Mild yet effective elevation changes and perfect weather make this a great course to play anytime of year. As it is very nice, it is also very popular - be prepared to wait on the weekends, and make sure you're yelling "fore" when you throw a blind shot. One of the best features of this course is that they change the pin positions every Monday, making it a great once a week course to play.
Hole 10 and 11 are my favorites. 10 is straight through the trees to either a very long 450 foot position or a very short 245 feet. Both positions require awkward dogleg throws and are very technical. Hole 11 goes 350 to 410 feet depending on position, it throws from a niche in a grove of trees on a hill about 40 feet in elevation above the green. Watch out for trees !!!
