Teaching  Guidelines

    Pray for your ministry!

Help each child get the possible bible-based start in life.

Be prepared.  Don’t be late.  Always be there before the class starts.

Be strong and courageous.  With the Lord, you can do all things.

    Be enthusiastic.

Praise the kids when they do it right.

    Communicate real love.

Involve kids in learning.  Kids want to interact with you.

To Young kids:  Keep your body same height as they talk to you.

Decorate your room with teaching material, photos, their works but not over do it.

Arrange seating.  Make sure their feet won’t kick kids in front. Separate two troublemakers.

Helpers need to involve in helping, not distracting the kids.

Make sure everyone can see you so they won’t be daydreaming.

No more rules than the age of the kids.  Get a uniform rule.

Stop, wait until they are quiet, to proceed.

Post rules in every classroom and make sure all the kids know it.

All the teachers will be called “ Mr., Mrs., Miss”.  Train them to be respectful.

Ask them to raise their hands before talk.

Don’t name the trouble kids in public prayer.

Use a soft song to slow them down.

Don’t yell!  Lower your voice to get attention.

Picture is worth a thousand words.  Use teaching aide to get attention.

Young kids: when they hear, they forget; when they see, they remember; when they do, they understand. Use object to teach.

Ask the kids to help with the cleaning afterwards.
