Favorite Apple Tart
2 refrigerated unbaked piecrust
1 Tbsp. Sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. finely shredded lemon peel
2 green apples
some caramel apple dip
some apple jelly (or any jelly)
powdered sugar
Preheat the oven to 425 degree.
Defrost piecrust.
In a bowl combine sugar, cinnamon, and lemon peel. Add apple slices and toss to coat.
Spread caramel apple dip over piecrust and then place apple mixture over caramel. Fold the edges of piecrust in. Bake for 20 (or less) minutes or until crust is golden brown. Meanwhile in a small saucepan melt the jelly over low heat. Then brush the melted jelly over the tart (include the pastry). Finally sprinkle some powdered sugar.
