1. Any breed of dog should not be fed onions, chocolate or beer (alcohol) just because these items are POISON to them and WILL 100% kill them in the long run which it is like you drinking poison straight up!
2. If you have the urge like me to feed your dog human food, you may feed it white rice or plain white bread, which something is pure carbohydrate but not too much becuase carbohydrate generates into fat when the energy is stored and unused and a FAT DOG means a DYING DOG!! your dog will be GAME OVER VERY SOON before you know it! so watch out your quantity! Please!! check out your dog's ideal weight here
Example: each night Oby and Shylie gets white rice mixed with wet dog food (favourite brand "Cesar") the amount for them both with Oby being 10 pounds and Shylie being 7 pounds is that 1 and half cups for dinner with them both sharing it! About half, half since Shylie is now still a growing puppy and eventhough she was not growing it should be enough. I usually put out dry dog food after their rice meal in case they are that hungry!! Most dogs know when they are full and will stop eating even if you force them to eat!! But then never force your dog to eat, if your dog is not eating for a few days GO TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY, YOUR DOG MAY BE SICK!! Continuing about O & Shy, During the day they get one meal about one cup of dry dog food to share which my favourite brands include:
*Wellness
*Nutromax
There are so too many brands out there but a guideline to feed your dog the best and ensure their best of their health is to check out the ingredients on the bag!! the first listed is the most contained amount in the food and the last listed is the least ingredient contained.
PS.!! if you boil uncooked meat in clean water like chicken or beef with no salt or any tastes it is okay to give to your dog WITHOUT ANY BONES and the meat is just chopped into small little chunks but don't give them more than 1/4 of a cup if your dog is a small dog like Oby & Shylie, same advice, check with your veterinarain.
Hint Hint ^_^: Look for the word "MEAL" like beef meal, chicken meal, if you SEE THIS, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! It won't kill your dog but its bad for your dog since meal means guts, internal organs, not the real thing, how would you like it if you had to eat beef or chicken meal(organs) everyday and never get to eat the real thing? Not enough nutrients for the dog eventhough the bag claims to be good enough!
I don't think you would like to eat organs everyday nor your dog will like it so try for something sorry to say "pricer" the pricer the better contents usually. Which I like Wellness since I checked out their ingredient are not bad... and that they are not the pricest on the list nor the cheapest meaning bad quality of the list. Its just in the middle. Sorry to say but Iams is not my favourite brand but then it is not the worst compared to a lot of brands sold at grocery stores which are good food to keep a dog alive but not good enough to keep the dog to live a long healthy life.

1. BIG DOG LITTLE DOG BAKERY which I find their prices are better than the other bakeries around town and that they also offer liver cake besides just peanut butter and honey like other dog bakeries. Peanut butter is great but it seems too oily for Oby & Shylie but then if you own a dog it may be a different story since your dog is not Oby nor Shylie.
Location, the nearest location to Richmond, BC is in Burnaby, Hastings which is I believe its too far of a drive. However you can arrange a pickup in Richmond BC at Tisol Pet Foods on 3 Road if you call them in advance because they do drop off their products for consignment at Tisol monthly.
2. THREE DOG BAKERY is located on West 4th Avenue across another favourite doggy shop "URBAN PUPPY" they offer cakes such as birthday cakes as well in different sizes and flavour, however the prices are a few bucks more comapred to Big Dog Little Dog Bakery. But then it is closer to Richmond, BC compared to Big Dog Little Dog Bakery too.
3. Urban Puppy is located on 2173 West 4th Avenue of Vancouver BC, as mentioned above across the street of Three Dog Bakery. You can contact them by calling (604)736-0557 they offer puppy day care and fresh baked dog treats too! They also sell different breeds of puppies from time to time too, however if you are looking for a better deal check out the classifieds in the pets section, like the ads in Vancouversun.com But overall it is such a warm loving exciting scene when you visit the puppies at the day care especially on the busy weekends.
