| The Moonshadow is a story that had so far devoured five years of three lucky peoples lives. It is a dream, a nightmare, a romance, and a tragedy wrapped up in to a fairy tale yarn. The authors of this little enterprise, which include Pestilence and War, are hoping above and beyond hope to get this book publish in the near future. | The Plot There are many plots and subplots taking place in this story but the main one is concerned with the lives of two girls, Gedda Holmes and Susan Ochi, as they are torn from their normal mundain lives and loves and plumeted into an unfamiliar and dangerous world. Gedda is your average teenage girl, she is tall, a bit on the plump side and very pretty. She is also confident and generally good natured and happy, she is a desent well rounded character. Susan is a little more unusal, she is Japanesse and also albino, because of this she has been spoilt and fussed over for all of her life making her bratty and sometimes ill-tempered and spiteful. At the start of the book the girls are friends but as the book progresses their friendship is put under strain by their relitionship ties and general strains that their lives require. The story also encompasses the lives of three boys trying to make an impression on the world. Justin is the heir to the vampire throne, and is stuggling to reach his mother's and adviser's expectations of him and still have his own life and friends at the same time. He is also against his own will betrothed to Gedda, in an attempt by the vampire royalty to tie her to the country. He has a good nature but is always trying to be true to many parties, making him at times distant, cold, and confused, he also has a habit of hurting those he loves with out knowing or trying. He has also been isolated for most of his life and doesn't know how to show his emotions towards Gedda, leaving them both frustrated. Sads or Sadum is the heir to the werewolf throne. He cares little for his responcabilities and only wants to impress people. He is only out for his own gain and has no real friends and many enemies, this fact doesn't seem to bother him as he is too wrapped up in his own needs to notice or care about others. The only impression he wants to make is that of fear! His temper is harsh and uncontrolable, and he can be given to bouts of jealousy, he hates the idea of some bettering him. What makes him worse is the fact that he has no idea about others feelings and has little respect for others in general. Lunther is the best friend of Justin and causes much controversy because of this as he is a serf and Justin is a prince. Lunther has many dreams about the future but lacks the confidence to make them happen and then becomes angry at himself for being a cowards. He was abandoned soon after he was born, and because of this he thinks that he is unworthy. He lacks confidence and is shy, this is not helped by a speak impediment which he has been bullied about for most of his life. He is also rash, quick to anger, and has a tendancy to be moody and brood over things. Their lives become twisted together, under the oppresive and sinister shadow of the enigmatic Raksha. |
