OBSESSION 1
So on the 19th of June 2004, Obsession productions banded together and made 3.5 hour journey over to Greymouth, with a large company of supporters in tow.
I dont think Greymouth knew what to expect when they saw us coming, they were very hospitipal and probably havent had anyhting like we were about to put on later that night
Well it went off without a hitch. a few small minor details which needed to be adressed at the next meeting was noted and we left greymouth with a succsseful feeling
One month later we were invited back to Revingtions Hotel for our second installment into the journey
OBSESSION 2
We had learnt from our mistakes and were ready to face all opposing odds
Again with a much larger company of supporters this time
And again for the 2nd time, another great event that got great reviews and news of Obsession spread far and wide. problems with the smoke machine, and the face that it caught fire backstage were not to hinder us from another one two months later
OBSESSION 3
This one had to be big, not because it could be our last in greymouth, but because we wanted to show the support and raving crew that we could get bigger and better as our gigs evolved and we learnt knew things
Thats exaclty what we did.
Again great reviews and we left greymouth for the third time in as many months knowing that we had completed a great mission and looked forward to the planning of our next party, also having now idea where it may be
OBSESSION 4
This was inevitible, having our next party on out back doorstep, we had been asked to play in Westport, but that would have to go on the backburner, for we got ourselves a date for our next Obsession
Our next meeting provided to be exciting with the fact that it would have to be on the 3rd of december TWO WEEKS AWAY
We got hard to work, orginising profesional advertising, photographers, dj's, special effects, and lighting
Again eveything ran smoothly and had great reviews and a huge humber of ppl through the ddor, who just couldnt stop raving on about the fact that there is nothing like what we have anywhere in New Zealand
OBSESSION 5
This event promised to be very successful, knowing we had a good rapport with chch now, and many outlets of help from a lot of diff services, from lighting to sound, to promo girls! which sadly did not appear this time, because of unresolved solutions.
But yet again we pulled it off, with a little more thought put into our stage presence, lighting, and tracklisting structure, all dj's combined produced a fantastic spectacle which chch supporters "raved" on about for many months to come,
This prooved to be a sucessful event for the team, and would also be the last time we would play at BASE. with a new BASE being built not far from the first, with a boasted double capacity and brand new everything, the Obsession team looks forward to playing another event!
