  • Bank balance of nearly $3,000 - this includes recent membership payments.

  • Key priorities/concerns were identified as follows:

-        Beautification of 2 entrances to Observatory Hill

-        Have a social event to promote more interaction among residents, e.g.: neighbourhood party/fireworks at Gapper Park

-        Members felt that the Bayview/Fern exit was hazardous (what can be done about it?).  Can sign be changed to allow residents to make right hand turn from Bayview between 7-9 am?

-        Many voiced concerns about speeding on Fern and Gordon Rowe

-        Enforcement of overnight street parking

-        Unsecured garbage and Blue Box items often become scattered throughout the subdivision  (often because these items and yard waste are left at curb for days or weeks)

-        Graffiti – contact utilities and make request that they clean the graffiti from their respective utility cabinets, mailboxes, etc.

-        Access to Super Mailboxes from the streets during winter – will Canada Post shovel path?

  • The OHHA will generate a newsletter outlining details of this meeting.

  • Volunteers were requested to distribute these newsletters and encourage other residents to become members of the OHHA.

  • It was decided that OHHA meetings will be held approximately every 3 months at this location at a rental cost of $25 for the room per meeting.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:40 pm.
