Psalm 91:9-16
If you make the Most High you dwelling - even the Lord , who is my refuge - then no harm will befall you , no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone, You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

II Chronicles 7:14
"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways , then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

A Prayer For Our Government
Father , In Jesus' Name , I give thanks for our country and its government. I hold up in prayer before You the men and women in positions of authority. I pray and intercede for the president , congressmen , senators , judges , policemen , governors , and mayors of our land . I pray for all people in authority over us in any way . I pray that the Spirit of the Lord rests upon them .
I believe that skillful and godly wisdom has entered into the heart of our president and knowledge is pleasant to him . Discretion watches over him; understanding keeps him and delivers him from the way of evil and from evil men.
Father, I ask You to encompass the president with men and women who make their hearts and ears attentive to godly counsel and do that which is right in Your sight. I believe you cause them to be men and women of integrity, who are obedient concerning us. I believe that they lead us in a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Your Word declares that "blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." I receive Your blessing and declare with my mouth that Your people dwell safely in this land and that they prosper abundantly.
It is written in Your Word that the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord and that You turn it whichever way You desire. I believe the heart of our leader is in Your hand and that his decisions are divinely directed of the Lord. I give thanks unto You that the Good News of the Gospel is published in our land. The Word of the Lord prevails and grows mightily in the hearts and lives of the people. I give thanks for this land and the leaders You have given to us, in Jesus' Name. I proclaim that Jesus is Lord over the United States of America !

Heavenly Father , I lift all the families and people affected by that tragic day on Sept. 11th ,up to You and I ask you to comfort them and supply their every need. Father I pray that you would wrap them in Your loving arms and just hold them , that they may feel Your Love. Father God heal their hearts , give them peace even in the midst of the storm. I lift up our service men and women , and I pray that you would give your angels charge over them to guard them in all their ways. I thank you Lord for thwarting the plans of the enemy and confusing them. I pray that all would seek Your face and find the peace that only You can give . In Jesus' Mighty Name I pray , Amen
