My name is Ron Davis, This is my story.
REDEEMED IN THE REFINERS FIRE
In January 2002, I was working on a van for my sister. The carburetor backfired igniting the cup of gasoline in my hands. I was suddenly engulfed in flames, I couldn't see anything but flames everywhere I looked. I stumbled to the back of the van trying to find a way out. I couldn't see the door, I didn't even know which way to turn. I was in a panic  and disorientated. The heat was getting intense and the pain of burning flesh was almost unbearable. I knew my uncle and dad were in the van when the fire started, where they ok? did they get out? why won't they help me? Is the van going to explode? I had so many questions running through my head, I was scared. I cried out as loud as I could, choking on the heat and flames"HELP ME".  I felt a strange calmness come over me,  I found the door but it was locked. I reached out blindly and found the lock, before I realized it I was out side of the van and running when the thought came to mind stop, drop and roll. I put the flames out and opened my eyes, but I couldn't focus. I touched my face and it felt like dried newspaper that was flaking and falling apart, I thought that I must have rolled in mud or something. I was taken to the emergency room , there I was informed that it was my charred skin and facial hair that was coming off. I was told that I would need plastic surgery and years of rehab. I spent 3 weeks going to physical therapy, scrubbing my face in a whirl-pool. It was during one of these hour long sessions that I realized it was the hand of God that saved me. I began to pray and thank him for this. I asked Jesus into my heart in the whirl-pool with my head submerged in the churning water. For the first time in my life I asked that his will be done in my life not mine. My life has been different since then. Before this life changing event I was a sinner and the worst kind. I was a drunkard, deep into pornography I even spent many weekends in whorehouses while in the army. What made me the worst kind of sinner?  I was raised in a Christian home and attended church services weekly, I turned my back on God. It was only by his grace and the work of the holy spirit that I can proclaim that I am a born again Christian brought through the refiners fire. He will bring you through too, all you have to do is ask.

Father I come to you right now asking that you touch the heart of the person reading this, If they do not know your son Jesus as their personal savior I ask you to bring them to repentance, so that they may know the pure joy that comes from knowing and loving you. Show them the saving grace that I came to know, by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on who's blood we can all find salvation. Instill in them the desire to learn more about you by reading your most holy word. Gracious father I ask you to bless all who read my testimony in ways that only you can. Father I plead by the name of Jesus that lives are changed by these words I have put here to be read. By the power of the Holy spirit bring to light anything that hinders the path to salvation and remove it. Help me to glorify your name and present Jesus to the world one person at a time. Thank you father for the joy I get from sharing you with others. In the name of Jesus I pray.   Amen.

" That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

" Therefore, I urge you. brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to god-which is your spiritual worship.  Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will".  Romans 12:1-2
If you would like to know Jesus as your personal savior and experience the joy and peace I know pray this prayer with honesty and desire.

Dear Jesus I am sorry for the sins in my life. I want to know the peace and joy that comes from you. Forgive me for my sins and give me the salvation that  you paid for with your own blood. I accept you as The true savior and the only son of the one true God. Come into my heart Jesus and turn me from my sinful ways.  Teach me to live for you. Thank you for this chance for a new start on life. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

I am not promising that you will never have a bad day, or that you will never be sad. I do promise that if you are sincere and really want to change your life, your quality of life with be better and you can have a new outlook on life.
