Inspection Engineer
My responsibilities are as the following:
- Carry out On-Stream Inspection (OSI) in accordance with the time based intervals and RBI program for all static equipment.
- Carry out the off-stream inspection on static equipment within the specified intervals.
- Reporting inspection activities to Asset Holder to inform him of the status of equipment integrity and recommendations for actions to maintain continuing integrity.
- Act as Authorized Inspector in terms of applicable codes.
- Certify safety relief valves and supervising lifting equipment test, re-certification, and colored code).
- Maintain a filing system for all static equipment which contains information for the equipment tag number, location, details of design and engineering data sheet, design drawings, materials, initial inspection data, e.g. as-built wall thickness. Also during the life of the equipment, all the inspection activities as external and internal inspection, details of the failure together with reasons for failure, details of repairs, re-paintings, modifications, change duty etc.
- Carrying out the commissioning inspection and reviewing the handover packages for new constructions, and new flow lines, etc.
- Carry out NDT inspection methods, which are radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), Liquid penetrant testing (PT), magnetic particle testing (MT), visual testing (VT) and hydrostatic pressure testing.

My responsibilities was as the following:
- Prepare and follow up the quality control documents of the project, including all certificates and the inspection plan and schedule for the welding and installation of piping above/under ground, structure steel, equipments, vessels, pumps, cylindrical tanks, spherical tanks and heat exchangers.
- Establishment of welding procedures specification (WPS) and the procedure qualification record (PQR) and the welders� qualification test in according of codes, standards, and specifications.
- Performing visual inspection, dimension check, fabrication, and erection check for steel structure, pipe spools, vessels, and tanks.
- Controlling the welding activities and repair percentage.
- Make visual check, dimensions check and control welding process.
- Complete documentation for every step from above mentioned activities.
- Preparing QA/QC system to be followed to control fabrication, welding, and erection of piping and equipments and hydrostatic testing.
- R.T film interpretation, ultrasonic test, and dye Penetration test according to related codes and standards.
- Preparing and review the technical quality control documents for handover to the client.
