Friday, November 1st: Moberly Jay Cee's. The night started out crazy, as Kurt and I went to St. Louis through the day and my car decided to freak out on us. We pulled into town around 6:30 to find Andy and Kameron at our house ready to go. We settled on the set list and Kurt and Kameron took off as Andy and I finished getting ready. After setting up, at 10:00 the Oneways played a few songs. They played at a Battle of the Bands with us, and played a good set. Next DPHC went on. They rocked! The guys had some killer guitar harmonies going on, which I dug big time. They finished up around 11:00 and we went on at 11:30. Started out with Kurt on guitar and me on bass. At first the croud didn't appear to be in to us. We later learned that there was a fight going on and thats where everyone went. We played a new song, "She, Her, I, Me." It was a little rough, but it will get better. After the switch, the croud really got into it. "My Disease," "Morning Glory," and "Roses" really got them going. At the end we played everybody's favorite "Walt's Frozen Head." All in all it was a good show, we could've played better, but the croud loved it, so thats all that matters. Enjoy the break between shows, but be ready to rock out again the next time OBLIQUE comes around. Posted by Stu on Tuesday November 5, 2002 |
