This was the sad new posted to the RSWarrior forum by Brian's wife.

Brian’s accident was only 1 mile from our house. It happened on Tuesday January 7th, at 1:43 pm. A man made a left turn right in front of him. Brian was not wearing his helmet, however his injuries were so many and severe that it would have not made a difference. The accident occurred near a doctor’s office. The doctor and his staff rushed to Brian’s aid. Brian was not breathing. The doctor performed a tracheotomy and CPR. Once emergency crews arrived on the scene they worked on Brian for 45 minutes trying to stabilize him before they flew him to St Joseph’s hospital. Many doctors and nurses worked on him. Unfortunately his injuries were too many and severe. Brian’s heart stopped at 4:59 pm on Wednesday January 8th.

The following was posted to the RSWarrior forum  by Brian's wife after attending the arraignment for the accused.

"I wanted to let you know that the driver that killed my husband had his arraignment today. He was charged with failing to yield to oncoming traffic, which resulted in a fatality. The maximum sentence for this violation is $1000 fine and 6 months suspension of his license. In order to get his license back he must take a driver's education class and pass a test. He had the choice to plead responsible or not responsible. To my disgust, he pleaded NOT RESPONSIBLE. This will now go to trial, which is set for May 16th. Needless to say I am sick to my stomach!
Michelle"
