The Mechanic |

Here's the Ship's Mechanic, close up so you can see her face. Her mouth is embroidered by hand, and her eyes are buttons. I left her hair a little loose, so it would look more like the original model. I also added a little darker brown shading at the part and around the top of her head to resemble the way real hair is colored. |

Here's The Mechanic in her favorite outfit. The jacket is Chinese silk, with a pattern of lotus flowers? I think that's what they are. They are embroidered into the fabric and are a silvery white thread. The top under her coveralls is a stretchy fabric I found in the remanant bin. So once it runs out...(more shopping!) Her hair was a challenge, but I finally managed to get the buns right with a combination of glue and perserverance. Her sandals I made with purchased trim and craft foam, with fabric paint on the soles for tread. |

These are her feet, which I usually don't do in such detail, being that the dolls feet are usually inside their boots. |
