Cole Turner Cole Turner is a rather unique magical being. Born in 1885 to a demonic mother and human father, Cole had a demon half, Belthazor, and a soul. For more than one hundred years, Cole was a highly-respected and ruthless demonic soldier of fortune and a member of the Brotherhood of the Thorn. Desperate to kill The Charmed Ones, The Triad offered Cole a deal: if he killed the witches, then he would receive his father's soul in return. In order to approach the sisters, he took on his human form and disguised himself as an Assistant District Attorney. But while he was trying to get close to Phoebe in order to kill the three sisters, he fell in love with her and ended up killing the Triad. He spent many months helping the Charmed Ones and dodging bounty hunters until a potion vanquished his demon half, leaving him human. Though free from bounty hunters, Cole felt very unsure about himself and his place in the world as a human, exacerbated by the fact that Phoebe hesitated at accepting his marriage proposal. So when The Seer approached him and told him that he would have to absorb The Source's powers to save the sisters, he did so. However, she did not tell him that the powers would find a permanent place inside of him. Cole operated as the Source for several months, first without Phoebe's knowledge and then with her by his side. Eventually, Phoebe chose her family over Cole and she and her sisters vanquished Cole. Like all demons, Cole was sent to the demonic wasteland when he was vanquished, but because he had a soul Cole managed to hang on. He figured out how to absorb the powers of the vanquished demons, which allowed him to pull himself out of the wasteland. Rejected by Phoebe, who did not want to get involved with a demon again, Cole tried to kill himself but found that he was indestructible. He was approached by the Avatars who wanted to make him one of them and he accepted their offer only as another attempt to win Phoebe back. Cole cast a spell which altered reality, making it so that the power of three had never been reconstituted. Witch Doctors Little is known of witch doctors except for their dedication to expel evil sprits from demonic footholds. Using strange unknown magic rituals, witch doctors feel their status as watch dogs of evil gives them the freedom to attack evil in all its shifting guises.
