P. Baxter
A Warren witch, she had the power to manipulate obects, slowing them and perhaps even freezing them. She owned a speakeasy in the twenties with her cousins, taking responsibility for obtaining the liquor for the establishment. Her husband also worked in the speakeasy, playing piano. She and her cousin, P. Bowen, were responsible for killing and cursing their cousin, P. Russell, who had turned evil and wanted to kill them for their powers.
The Beast
The Beast was once a man named Derek who was taken by a manticore for breeding purposes, but he managed to escape the manticores before they killed him. Desperate to retrieve his son from the demons, Derek used a combination of potions that turned him into the Beast, which made him very powerful, and he pursued the manticores to take back his son.
P. Bowen
This witch had the power to freeze, literally, and is of the Warren line. During the twenties, she ran a speakeasy with her cousins and was a photographer. She and her cousin, P. Baxter, were responsible for killing and cursing their cousin, P. Russell, who had turned evil and wanted to kill them for their powers. |

Brianna
During the Crimean War, this Warren witch disgraced a Lord of War named Gabriel by separating him from his sword, using her power of telekinesis to move it hundreds of miles away.
The Callaways and the Montanas
These two families of witches have been embroiled in feud for so many generations that no one can remember what instigated the feud. There have been periods of truce between the families over the years but the feud has always started anew.
The Charmed Ones
Three magical maternal sisters, descendents of Melinda Warren, destined to become the most powerful witches, and the most powerful force of good, of all time. *Phoebe Halliwell
Originally gifted with the rare power of premonition, this witch has developed two other powers, levitation and empathy, as well as learning martial arts skills. Her marriage to Cole Turner, who was possessed by the Source at the time, led to her acting as the Queen of the Underworld for a short while. *Piper Halliwell
Her power of temporal stasis has expanded to molecular combustion over the years, making this witch a powerful foe. Her marriage to her whitelighter, Leo Wyatt, resulted in her giving birth to the prophesized twice-blessed child, her son Wyatt, as well as another son, Chris. *Prue Halliwell
The eldest and supposedly the strongest, Prue Halliwell possessed the power of telekinesis and a power dubbed "astral projection," which more closely resembled cloning, since she could duplicate herself. While this twin could also use her martial arts abilities, it could not access her powers. She was killed by the demon Shax trying to protect an innocent. *Paige Matthews
This witch reconstituted the power of three after the death of her half-sister, Prue Halliwell. The child of Patty Halliwell and her whitelighter, Paige Matthews is blessed with many whitelighter abilities, such as orbing, glamouring, and sensing, but apparently only one witch ability. To fulfill the prophecy, she needed to have the ability of telekinesis, but her whitelighter half altered the ability slightly to telekinetic orbing. |

The Chosen One
The Chosen One is a seventh son of a seventh son, and he is the only being who can use Tuatha's wand against her and defeat her. If Tuatha is ever freed from her prison, lore says that the wand will find him.
Cupid
These messengers are responsible for bringing people together who have a chance at love. Many agents roam about the world using their powers to connect people. Their powers lie in a ring, which allows them to slow time and get between heartbeats where they can then plant thoughts of love.
These beings are not responsible for all love, however. They are forbidden to make some connections, yet sometimes people manage to make such connections without any aid.
The Elders
A group of elder whitelighters, the Elders are responsible for all whitelighters. The Elders select future whitelighters and provide information and guidance to current ones. While whitelighters are supposed to help others, they follow a strict set of rules in doing so. The Elders take responsibility for ensuring that whitelighters follow these rules.
When an Elder retires, he must pass his powers to another being, who then replaces him. An Elder can only pass on his powers at certain times, such as the equinoxes.
Empaths
Empaths are immortal beings with the ability to feel others' emotions. Before becoming an empath, these beings have a life in which they possess their power and must learn to control it. Once their mortal life is over, they become full-fledged empaths and are placed in society as counselors, priests, and other such roles so that they may help others. Empaths also have the ability to heal someone's emotional pain.
Familiars
Familiars are enchanted creatures that follow and guide new witches to protect them while they learn the craft. While they are often cats, other animals like dogs, rabbits, horses and snakes can be familiars as well. Familiars are naturally attuned to the seasons and phases of the moon and can be helpful in teaching the young witch a heightened awareness of her environment.
Familiars who perform their job especially well are sometimes rewarded by being turned into humans, whose responsibility then becomes to take care of other familiars. However, a familiar may also betray its witch and become a warlock.
Gypsies
A cousin tradition to witchcraft, gypsies share many similarities with witches. While most gypsies do not have active powers, they perform spells and use potions. High priestesses of the gypsy tradition are called shuvanis, and they pool their power to ward off evil. |

Patty Halliwell
This Warren witch had the power to freeze and, most importantly, was the mother of The Charmed Ones. She died while trying to vanquish the Water Demon.
Penny Halliwell
One of the strongest witches of her time, this Warren witch had the power of telekinesis. Grandmother of The Charmed Ones, she raised Prue, Piper and Phoebe after their mother's death.
Wyatt Halliwell
The son of a whitelighter and a Charmed One, Wyatt is the prophesized twice-blessed child. On the day of his birth magic was removed from the world in anticipation for his arrival. Two demons, Cronyn and Doris, tried to kidnap him but failed. Due to how powerful he is, other kidnapping attempts occurred but a prophetic demon, The Crone, saw that a demonic law was passed to prevent any further attempts to harm the baby, fearing that a war over the child would be detrimental rather than beneficial to evil. However, The Order, one of the most powerful demonic cults, believed that Wyatt was their leader reincarnated, so they plotted to kidnap him and use their magic to reverse his morality so that they could raise him as their future leader. The Charmed Ones rescued him from the group.
Demons have not been the only beings who have tried to kill Wyatt. Gideon, a powerful Elder, feared that all of the power that Wyatt possessed would cause him to turn and become an unstoppable threat. He conspired with his evil counterpart in a parallel dimension and then with Barbas to distract the sisters and Leo and managed to kidnap Wyatt. But his father tracked Gideon down in the Underworld and killed him, saving his son. Gideon's fears were not unfounded, however, since Wyatt's brother, Chris, traveled back in time to prevent him from becoming a power-mad tyrant in the future. Other Elders besides Gideon also share his concern.
He is also the being destined to wield the powerful sword Excalibur, but his mother is trying to keep him away from the sword until he is older.
The Ice Cream Man
In the guise of a man selling ice cream, this mortal is responsible for capturing demonic children. To lure his prey, the ice cream man plays the devil's chord which is a series of notes that when sounded together specifically attracts demon kids. Once lured, the ice cream man then sucks the demon children inside the vehicle where the children find themselves on a magical playground and trapped in that world the young demons must face the Nothing.
Jenna & Leeza
These two witches are members of two different covens, entrusted with protecting the two halves of a powerful ancient charm.
The Lady
This woman is responsible for safeguarding the sword Excalibur until the person destined to wield the sword becomes ready. Since only the one destined to wield Excalibur can control its power, the Lady must create a buffer between herself and the sword so that she does not become corrupted by its power. |

Muses
Beings of pure light whose sole purpose is to inspire people's passion and creativity. Like angels, they guide us with an unseen hand of inspiration. Unlike whitelighters, muses are invisible even to their charges and can only be seen by other angellic beings.
Nell
In the 1920s, a witch named Nell tricked a powerful warlock into a painting with a hidden spell that only his power of X-ray vision could see.
Vir de Somnio or Sandmen
These magical creatures are made of dreams and visit good beings in their sleep, sprinkling them with dream dust, which allows them to dream. Sandmen have particular charges that they watch over, visiting the same individuals each night, and only sleep when all of their charges are sleeping.
Unicorns
These mythical creatures are from another world and represent the essence of good magic. A unicorn's horn is made of pure, concentrated magic.
Melinda Warren
The beginning of Halliwell magic, Melinda Warren was born in Virginia but later moved to Salem, Massachussetts. She possessed all three of the Charmed Ones powers: telekinesis, premonitions, and the power to freeze. She was tricked by a warlock named Matthew Tate, who turned her in to the witchhunters. She managed to curse him into the pewter heart where he could spend eternity knowing the sting of betrayal, but she was killed in the Salem witch trials. |

Whitelighters
A person that does a great deal of good during his life may become a whitelighter after death. Whitelighters are sort of angelic creatures that watch over good people, both mortals and witches, and try to keep them from coming to harm. Whitelighters have the power to heal, hover and can travel by orbing.
While whitelighters eat, sleep, and otherwise function like regular human beings, they cannot be mortally wounded. These wounds will magically heal themselves. The only way that a whitelighter may be killed is by a darklighter's arrow, which is tipped in a poison made specifically for that purpose.
While the Elders can track whitelighters, if a whitelighter chooses to stop using his powers the Elder will be unable to track him. If a whitelighter is trying to disappear, only a blood relative can locate him again. If he chooses not to use his powers for a long period of time and the Elders can find no other way to locate him, eventually he will lose his whitelighter abilities. |
