| Rote is the most southern island of the Nusa Tengara Island chain of Indonesia. Its only 150 miles from the coast of Northern Australia and only a few miles south of West Timor. The island is about 100 kilometers long by 20 km wide. And there are several smaller islands near by.
The population is about 60.000 people and they are in the majority Christians they are very respectful friendly and mellow people. During the trade winds season (May to November) the island is quite dry with seldom rain. |

Malole surf house has been design and created by Felipe Pomar (1965 world surf champion) and partner Diego Arrarate (the host) for the purpose of enjoy with friends the great surf that the Island of Rote has to offer. It is a home like set up for four to six friends enjoying great comfort with simplicity and practicality; its perfectly suitable for couples and families. All Island activities are available, snorkeling, fishing, bike rides around the Island, sailing to the nearby islands or simply just kick back on the hammocks. | What to bring:
Surf equipment , short arm and leg wetsuit specially in the month of July to September the trade winds can get a bit cold, It is also a good idea to bring a INDO GUN around 7feet as T-land can get pretty big on a good swell. Mosquito repellent, as most of the islands in Indonesia malaria are pretty common, although there is hardly any mosquito in the dry season in rote, it�s a good idea to take some precautions at night, we also provide mosquito nets. Preventing pills are recommended (consult your doctor). You�re also welcome to bring your own music cds and movies. |
