WELCOME TO NEMESIS: A Black Moon RPG

Format:
Message board (server.com)  Unlike most message boards, their particular one does not require you make a login name, or hassle with stupid surveys.  The board is crisp, neat, and they never hesitate to bring up the threads when it starts to wear too long.

Layout:
My motto is always KISS: Keep it simple, stupid.  Too much to look at, or too many florescent colors turn me off every time.  When you enter the page, you are greeted with cool tones, and three eye-catching manga pictures.  4/5

Forum:
I've always been a believer in message boards.  It's hard to meet people in the right place at the right time...and this way everyone interacts.  The message board is clearly marked, easy to read...and the way the posts are displayed is easy to catch on to...and one additional added bonus...the board is HTML friendly!

Hospitality:
The newbie problem seems almost non-existant due to the required writing sample on the join application--and when inquiring about the site to the GM, Elektra she was very helpful, answering my annoying questions graciously.  ^^;;    The other members seemed well enough, and there was no indication of internal squabbling.
5/5

Rules:
The rules seemed very standard, asking the same that most RPG's do, and instead of just saying simply "I am the GM and I say so"  actual reasons are given...not to mention examples of the correct way to do things!
4/5

Plot:
The plot is very very very very good.  It seemed to have started as a SM plot...but after a lot of original and non SM characters the story has become original, and all it's own.  The RPG has been around for over a year, so the plot is VERY long--it took forever to read all the chapters, but nonetheless, the chapters are comprehensive and make joining the intricate, and VERY intertwined ranks much easier.  Each character has a very elaborate story surrounding them...and there are no stereotypical "psychos without a cause"  or "killers cuz the feel like it."

Special Features:
I really enjoyed all of the essays, fanart, comics, and so on that the site boasted.  It was not just a regular "Fun"  section, but a section created by the members themselves.  It gives insight to the players involved and shows
off the obvious talent the players have.

Best Aspect:
By far my favorite thing about WTN was the writing itself.  The players are very talented, and obviously enjoy writing and interacting.  Upon occassion, they even produce one amazing post outdoing themselves...but to find such posts, it took a bit of digging into past posts...but it was well worth it!

Worst Aspect:
I have two things actually, which is not at all unusual...I'm a pessimist!   The first beef would definitely be with the lack of recent summaries of what has happened.  The chapters are comprehensive, but many, MANY things have happened since their last summary update...which can make it difficult for the new addition to adapt without sifting through a million posts.  Secondly continuing with my nit-picking of the summaries...the volume of summary chapters itself!  Comprehensive they are....and long as hell.  True true, the writing *Is*  worth it....and it makes you have a vivid glimpse into the lives of their characters...but on the same note it can be daunting to have seemingly millions of summaries to read.

Overall Rating:
My numbers will be uncreatively based on the old-as-dirt Christmas carol. 5 golden rings, four calling birds, three french hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree....BUT if you get a partridge in a pear tree, maybe it's time you do a little revamping because YOU SUCK!!!  And.....I give this site......four and a half calling birds!!!   I really would recommend Welcome to Nemesis...even if you aren't a Sailor Moon fan...or don't know that much about the series!
