Layout:
Anything Goes follows my favorite rule. KISS. So, I have to give it something for that. The colors are cool, blue and has a nice lil starry backround. It's simplicity...but there isn't really anything special either... 3/5
Forum:
A forum is ALL they have. And a good Forum at that. It is the layout I'm so fond of...none of that sterile table/chart layout, and the threads come up whenever needed as well. The way the board works only takes a few moments to learn and no one has to teach you how. Also the board is HTML responsive...pictures text and whatever else are fair game! ^.~ 4/5
Hospitality:
There is a required writing sample, stamping out some of the newbies...and as for hospitality...I was recieved rather well when asking questions...the GM Michiru was laid back and just simply said "review away!" There would have been a five given out...but unfortunately there were some heated posts
indicating some internal squabbling...which is a big peeve I have! >.< 4/5
Rules:
The rules are few, but important...it's cool to not have an RPG that is too restricting. They also have a rule that so far I've never seen before...if you play more than one character they have you even it out...not all of them can be on the side of good, and not all of them can be on the side of evil...this rule makes a lot of sense to me and I really like it...it forces you to do full circle and really get in the mud when you RP!! 5/5
Plot:
When you get all Anime RPG's together there is always that little problem to solve about how you get all those animes together...and what universe do you set it in?? I mean in some Manga's it's not unusual to jump hundreds of feet up into the air...while others it would be wrong....In Anything Goes, they managed to make a plot bringing all Anime's together smoothly...without debate on which universe it's in...and what rules the characters are limited to. I was impressed basically because I personally am not creative enough to solve such a problem. 5/5
Special Features:
They have a little 'hints' page that not only gives advice on how to apply and win...but a few html tricks to go with the board that accepts html! This can mean a lot for someone that would like to add something special to their posts...
Best Aspect:
Without a doubt the posts again. There is a budding romance that is just too cute...and all the RPer's are very good...making the reads nearly...FUN! (rather than a chore.)
Worst Aspect:
Everything they have is excellent...the one thing I think is too bad is the amount of people RPing...the rate has slowed to just a trickle of loyal members. It has started to heat up a little again...but going into the profile section, then going to the actual board....and you see that less than half of them are still Rping.
Overall Rating:
Finally...the big rating? (five golden rings, four calling birds, three french hens...blah blah blah) I will give it four calling birds! :D It is a very good site...and best of all, they are accepting any character from any anime...what more could you ask? Otaku? Yep those too...anything you've got that is quality will be accepted, so why not at least give it a try? The people are good, and the GM is absolutely off the wall funny! 4/5
