As we join together to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus this morning it is our prayer that each one may have a fresh encounter with the Risen Christ.  This may happen as we are seeking Him as Mary was, or perhaps running from Him as Peter was, or in the middle of doubting Him as Thomas was, or perhaps in the company of other believers (but not expecting Him) as were the disciples, or perhaps while enjoying some recreation as the disciples were (fishing) - perhaps even here this morning the Risen Christ wants to reveal Himself to you.

Please continue to remember in your prayers Sean and Katie, Gary and Graeme at Easter Camp with our young people.  They will be returning late on Monday afternoon.  Sunday School will be resuming again on Sunday April 29 after the school holidays finish.  Gaynor and I will be back on deck this Wednesday.

Next Sunday, April 22, we will be having the Rev Stuart Avery speaking at our morning service.  Stuart and Janet are currently touring the country in his capacity as President of the Baptist Union.

Team Leaders will meet together on Wednesday, April 25.

You will notice that the badly worn seat bottoms on the stacka chairs in the hall have been replaced thanks to the hard working team of guys on Tuesday (many thanks for your help).  Please take a bit of extra care when stacking to avoid future damage.

I will be removing the list from the back wall today of people wishing to receive the church prayer letter.  If your name isnt there and you would like to be included let either myself or Janice Thorpe know.  I plan initially to put this out bi-weekly.

On May 5 the Salvation Army are having their annual appeal and due to this not being in school holidays are short of helpers.  If you can help please give Capt Mark Ennever a ring on 4348413.
We will be having the Review Team visit us on the weekend of April 27-29.  This will be a fairly intensive weekend with the Team meeting with staff individually on Friday afternoon.  On Friday evening a meeting, with a cross section of the body, will be held to determine strengths and weaknesses.  Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. meeting with church leadership for a time of exploration, encouragement and instruction.  Sunday morning one of the Team will preach in the morning service.  We will then have fellowship together over a shared lunch in the back hall followed by the Teams summary of where they perceive we are at and where we need to move in the future.  We hope as many as possible will stay for lunch and the following summary.  Please bring enough food for yourself and one other - bring your own dishes and take them away dirty.

There is a new Phone directory in the foyer.  Please make sure you take a copy home with you.  One per family please.  CORRECTION TO CHURCH PHONE DIRECTORY:
Ethel Bakers phone number is 4372724 and not as listed.  Please amend your copy.

The Manse painting is all but finished.  There are still some ladders, trestles and other painting gear to be taken away.  Please collect these as soon as possible (or we may have a garage sale)!

Please remember the following in your prayers:
35 young people at Easter Camp
Church Review weekend - clear diagnosis and direction for the future
 Divorce Care healing and restoration
Angus Buchan, Queens birthday weekend - release of Gods power in healing and salvation
those not able to be with us - Ethel Baker and Phil Sargent
Sunday 15 and 22 of April
Jesus is the CRUCIFIED.
Our Father loved us so much that He sent His Son to carry our sins through death.  JESUS says.... I am the blood that pursues you and the body that wants you.  Cling to Me and I shall keep you in My bosom.....
......let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead - by this name this man stands here before you in good health.......And there is salvation in non one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.    Acts 4: 10, 12

Oh Lord
Wash me clean of all my sin,
Cleanse my soul and mind within,
That I may be as white as snow,
And stand before You in His glow,
Filled only with faith and adoration
For Jesus - Lord of my Salvation.
