From the Pastor: A warm welcome to all who are worshiping with us. As part of today's service we will be baptising Faye Hay and we will also be farewelling and recommissioning Robyn Couper as she prepares to move back to Haiti where she will continue her work with the 12th Street Evangelical Church of Haiti. Tonight at 7 p.m. we will meet for prayer at Shirley Nind's. Many thanks to all those who worked so hard to make our Missionary Fundraising Sale on Saturday a real success. All of the proceeds will go towards support of missionaries from this fellowship. There are still some plants for sale in the back hall after this morning's service. Alan & Jan Smith, missionaries in Bangladesh, will be here for a brief visit to say "hi" on Sunday October 13. They will be here for a longer visit December 2 - 14. If you are using the car park at the back of WINZ on Sunday morning please remember to close the back door behind you when entering and leaving the building, also remember to get your newsletter and clear your pigeon hole in the foyer. If you have any used clothes you would like to donate to the 'Op Shop' in Geraldine they would be greatly appreciated as the proceeds from the sale go toward helping support this small struggling fellowship. Please pass them to me and I can make sure they get there. Waiareka Weston Presbyterian Church cordially invite you to the opening of their recently completed "Evered Beatty Memorial Foyer" and church alterations on Sunday October 6 at 2 p.m. A short service of thanksgiving will be held followed by afternoon tea. The annual meeting of the North Otago Christian Book Centre is to be held on Thursday 31 October at 7.30 p.m. at the Salvation Army Hall. If you are interested in joining with the other volunteers by becoming involved in this important work then join us at our meeting and learn more about us. Waitaki Save The Children will not be having a door to door collection this year. Instead they will be having a street collection on Friday October 18 and invite you to place your envelope in the boxes then. Alternatively boxes will be available in many places including Pharmacies, National Bank or envelopes can be left at Save The Children Shop on Itchen Street.
