| From the Pastor: A warm welcome to all who are worshiping with us today. There will be an opportunity following today�s service for anyone who would like to receive prayer following he service. This afternoon at 1 p.m. there will be an ecumenical Gospel Concert at Elephant Rocks for anyone who would like to attend. Folk are invited to Shirley Nind�s at 7 p.m. each Sunday evening to pray for the life and work of this fellowship. We would like to extend our congratulations to Janet Calder for being accepted into the 3 year internship of the Bible College of New Zealand. As part of her training she goes to Timaru each Wednesday for lectures, she is also committed to working 18 hours per week in the fellowship to develop practical skills as well as doing home study. Please remember her in your prayers as she takes on this very demanding course. On Sunday March 10 we are very privileged to have Doreen Brown speak to us. Before retiring in 2001 Doreen was overseer of the Distance Education Department at ACTS Bible College where she had personal responsibility for over 150 students. She now travels widely ministering in churches, conferences and camps. She will be ministering on The Gifts of the Holy Spirit in the morning and then at 7 p.m. she will take a practical hands on seminar on how to recognise and move with the Holy Spirit. On Wednesday March 13 Deacons will meet. There will also be a Promise Keepers Men�s meeting at the Elim Church to hear Jim Hum speaking 7.30 - 9 p.m. (see noticeboard). Kay Hum will be speaking at a Ladies meeting at Elim at 10 a.m. Thursday March 14. She will be sharing about her experiences as a volunteer in the Israeli Army (see noticeboard). I will be in Geraldine on March 14 meeting with their church leadership team. |
| Sunday March 17 we will celebrate Harvest Thanksgiving. This is a time to give thanks to God for His goodness to us in supplying all our needs. If you have things for the display please leave them in the church on Friday March 15. Please bring a non perishable offering for the Food Bank. We meet every second Tuesday: next night is 12th March 7.30 p.m. till 9 p.m. 40 Hour Famine is coming up soon � 15 to 17 March so get sponsoring. EASTER CAMP 2002: The bus looks like it�s going to be very full � so far 40 registered for camp (10 more than last year) and still more to come. Please remember to keep praying for the youth over this time as last year a lot had real life changing encounters with God and we would love for the same thing to happen this year.
