From the Pastor:
A warm welcome to all who are worshiping with us today.   We hope you will take the opportunity to make this Communion Sunday a Community Sunday by having someone you dont know very well into your home.  Following a slightly shorter service this morning there will be a brief church meeting to discuss the proposal to install a door through the back wall of the church in order to give us access to the car park adjoining the church property.  This meeting is open to everyone and we hope as many as possible will enter into any discussion, but only members may vote.

Sunday August 12 will be a special day as we Baptise Derek Fuller and Ben Murray.  Please be much in prayer for these people.  There will be an opportunity to share a word of encouragement or word of scripture with them after they are baptised.  Later in the afternoon some of us will be attending a leadership Seminar
year please let me know.  Please make an effort to be here and join in this family celebration.  Deacons nominations need to be handed to Nan Sargent before our Deacons meeting on August 8.

I am planning to start a new Alpha Course Thursday, August 23 with a coffee and dessert night at Shirley Ninds.  Invitations are available to give friends you would like to invite to come.  Please remember this very strategic outreach in your prayers as it has been the means of many non church people becoming believers in Christ.

If you havent yet noticed our church library is getting bigger every week as June adds new books to the shelves, do take some time to browse through the growing collection of books as there are some very good titles available to borrow.

We have had a trial run with the new Loop System for those with hearing disabilities and now hope to do the final installation on Saturday Aug
The Lords Prayer IN TEXT MESSAGE!
Bruce picked this up from the Presbyterian email list, but thought it worth sharing further.  The Lords Prayer has been translated into the language of the cellphone text message.  In a competition run by Ship of Fools website last month.  Over 100 people entered the competition and were given the task of reducing the Lords Prayer from 372 to 160 characters (the maximum length of a text message) without losing anything important.  The winner was Matthew Campbell, a history student from York, England, who sent in this prayer.....
