| The Acorn youth academy is situated literally down the road from the site of the stadium and the Oakwood Grange resort. The Academy was opened at the start of 2008 along with weekly funding of �10,000 per week to aid raining of the youngsters, along with a grant for a level 10 youth coach to work with the squad every week and allow maximim development of the players. the aim, one day, will not only be to produce million pound players for the fisrt team squad, but to win the Will Scarlet Youth League Championship. The Academy was given a new logo for the youth players shirts - to represent the Academy. The badge is actually the old club badge - which was made redundant after the redesign project following the Cup win in January 2008. However, it was felt that the old club badge would make a perfect badge for the newly opened Acorn Academy. |
