| Sensei Wise started training in the Martial arts in New York, early 1985, he then relocated to Florida in 1987 where he was introduced to Sensei Price through a friend in 1988. Sensei Wise trained at Sensei Price's private Dojo with a small group of select students. In 1991 Sensei Price opened up the Bamboo Curtain Dojo in Fort Myers where not only did Sensei Wise train but also assisted in instructing the adult classes and the children's class. Sensei Wise has had training in hand to hand combat as well as knife and gun defense. He is certified in multiple weapons such as the Escrima Sticks, Long Staff Bo, Sai, Nunchaku and is currently studding the Japanese sword. He has been in competitions where he placed 1st in kumite for the heavy weight division and place 1st and 2nd in kata. Sensei Wise had been recognized multiple times for his contribution to the Martial Arts and has assisted in teaching rape awareness classes for women. In 1997 he received his Black Belt Degree from Sensei Price under Grand Master Peter Urban and currently holds the rank of Yondan, 4th degree Black Belt in U.S.A. Goju Karate. April 2002 Maestro Urban assigned him Goju Hall 807. In June 1997 he was named "The Oak Tree". September 13th 2001 Sensei Wise was appointed into the USPDTA, United States Police Defensive Tactics Association, as a training officer for the United States. He is a certified US Military, US Police Unarmed Tactics Instructor, and US Mounted Bicycle Police Defensive Instructor. He now teaches out of his private Dojo in Cape Coral Florida.
