| Obedience: Boys and Girls: wear dress pants as close to the same color of your dog as possible. You should wear a nice shirt, blouse or sweater. Clean tennis shoes or non-slip shoes are good. Dogs- No prong/pinch collars or halti collars allowed. Only regular slip collars (check collars), semi check collars, buckle-high and a regular buckle collar is allowed. And no tags should be on them. Showmanship: If you have a solid color dog- you can wear a solid color that makes your dog look good and stand out. You can also wear a print with the color of your dog in it. If you have a dog with spots, or two different colors- wear a solid color, preferably one of the colors in your dog, or one that your dog will look good against. Boys- Wear dress pants, dress shirt, jacket and tie is possible. Any combination of these is acceptable. try to wear dress shoes with non-slip shoes, although clean tennis shoes are fine also. Try to avoid, "klunky, beat-up" high-tops. Girls- wear skirts, dresses or culottes with a tailored look. They MUST BE BELOW YOUR KNEES. Don't wear "cute, frilly" dresses or socks. Plain socks or pantyhose are preferred. Don't wear slippery dress shoes- clean tennis shoes or non-slip dress shoes are best. Dogs- showleads should match the color of your dog's neck. No prong/pinch collars. Only showlead/collar combo or showlead w/ a thin check collar combo allowed. Agility Boys and Girls- should wear slacks, or mid-thigh shorts. No jeans, with comfortable shoes to run with your dog with an acceptable top. (no sleeveless, low cut, bare midrift, or have words on it.) No sandals or slip ons. Dogs- should wear a snap buckle collor with NO tags. Collar otional for advanced dogs, but required for beginner and interemdiate. 6ft. lead required for beginners. Offical 4-H Dress Code All skirts, culottes or jumpers must be at bottom of knee length or longer. Wear appropriate shirts or tops. Dress pants for boys. NOT ALLOWED: denim jeans and/or skirts of any color or kind; t-shirts, muscle shirts, halter tops, low-cut blouses or sweater, shorts and hats are not allowed. Mini skirts are not acceptable. Any clothing which draws undue attention to oneself, or clothing that may distract other exhibitors, spectators or the judges, is unacceptable. Flat shoes, such as tennis shoes, should be worn. No sandals, high heels, or boots will be allowed. Do not wear anything with you name, your dog's name, name of your club, any name at all, on your clothes, dog collar or leash. |
