Two southern colleges signed Viper Linebacker Mario Gant, and Wide Receiver Adrian Cooper this past month to full scholarships. Mario, a defensive standout the past 2 seasons with the Vipers earned back-to-back Co-Defensive MVP in his 2 seasons and Adrian was a first year Receiver in 2003 earning a starting spot quickly for the Vipers. Both are Oakland Tech Bulldog Alumni. They brought to the team another level when it comes to preparation and intensity. Mario and Adrian’s off-field training along with their incredible skills led to the ability to achieve a scholarship to such prestigious, traditional southern colleges. They will always be Viper Black–N- Blue, but they now have the chance to showcase their skills in front of a new crowd with great tradition and most important of all – get an education. Go get em Vipers, show em how we play football in Cali – EAST BAY STYLE. |
