Dear Strokes Families and Friends ~

Here is what you have all been waiting and working for ~

SOUTHWEST JUNIOR REGIONAL
CHAMPIONSHIPS RESERVATION FORM
MAY 10-12, 2002

We're in the final stretch of the Oakland Strokes rowing season. The
year ends with the Southwest Junior Regional Championships at Lake
Natoma, CA. Maps are provided in your rowing handbook. This is a great
place to watch crew teams from all over the West race in this elite
competition. The winners are invited to participate in the U.S. Junior
championships held in June in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is our last team event
until Awards Night.

We encourage all parents to attend. Bring your sun block, hat, beach
chair, and look for us at the Oakland Strokes Tent. There is a charge
for parking once inside the gates to the racecourse. There are booths
with food and vendors selling race regalia, and pictures are taken of
each boat (which you may order). Hope to see you there!

************************************************
We have the delightful pleasure of finishing our rowing season, once
again, at the CSUS Aquatic Center at Lake Natoma. This facility has been
beautifully developed, at the cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars,
with the primary purpose of hosting rowing events. In fact, I have it
on good authority that it quite possibly will be the site of a future
Summer Olympics.

Let us show our collective "Oakland Strokes pride" by cheerfully
complying with the following reminders and *new* rules.
