The Tudor House
The Tudor House is a 1/24th scale project. It all started with a MDF basic house, which I immediatly set about ripping to pieces! Firstly I ripped off the roof and hinged it to allow better access to the top floor and then I ripped off the front and re attatched it with velcro. The chimney was a piece of wood I happily stumbled over in the depths of the garden shed, This was stuck on and a five place cut out on the first floor.

This view shows the rambling plant growing around the house. i did consider thatching the roof but realism was a real problem - so I cut up loads of cereal boxes to make a tiled roof.
Before painting the beams I sliced bits from the edges to make them look less uniform.

I tried to match the pattern of the beams for realism and again, distressed the walls to suggest age. I have started to collect bits and pieces to make a start on the inside - so watch this space!
