Here is a collection of things I have made for my Georgian house.
The croquet set was a cheap set, originally on a wooden stand. The case is made of wood and leather. I added the croquet hoops, made from cake wire
The Trunk has been filled with fabrics and period packaging, The hat, boots and tennis rackets were bought cheaply and painted with acrylics
The razors and buttonhook are made from wire and card. The razor strop is a snippet of leather
The dressing table was painted cream to match my existing furniture. The bottles are made from beads, the dresing table set and curling iron were bought and painted.
The Travel trunk was made from thin pieces of wood and covered with leather. I lined it with fabric. The labels are copies of original pre 1920's hotel labels, aged with coffee
The Gentleman's Dresser was bought as a jewelry box, but as It was so big, I decided it would make a better vanity unit. The silver boxes and bottles are beads and jewelry findings, painted with silver paint
The bottles and tins are made from beads and lollie sticks painted silver, The labels are period copies from pre 1920. The other side of the unit holds leather belts and ties.
This view shows a picture of my Daughter Ceris and Son Oliver dressed in period costume and printed in sepia. The powder box contains a real powder puff and powder! it was made for me by Gill Rance.
