Hi we are so happy to that so many of you have visited. We are hoping that you will keep visiting, and sending your love and prayer for Jordyn! Last night Jordyn got a fever, of 100.9 and was vomiting. The drs believe it is from the Ara-C, for those of you who do not know what that is, it is the chemo that she is on. She had a long night last night, she was not feeling well, so in-turn I did not sleep well. But we are up and at them again, a day day a new beginning!:) The drs., said her counts are slowly dropping, and soon her white blood cells should begin to drop, which is the whole goal of all this. It is still fairly early so not too much other news. Please add a special prayer for our little friend, Christopher Hargrave. He had his new bone marrow on Thursday, and is now quite sick, tomorrow, is the first day that there can be signs that his new marrow is taking.

hi well not much is happening today, she began a new chemo today, cytoxin. She is doing well. She is having physical therapy everyday, but Saundays. She really likes it. She is losing her appetite a little more each day, which is normal, just hard on "mommy". Her counts are still dropping. She has been fighting sleep, so she has dark circles under her eyes. We finally just has to let her cry herself to sleep, which takes only two minutes!
Keep praying for Jordyn. We have some friends working on getting pictures in to the site, so just keep looking every day or so. Therre is a max of three pictures at a time, so we will probbably change them out once a month.
Keep sending out love and prayers for Jordyn.

She will have 2 days of rest and then have her trasplant.
Today has been a GREAT DAY!!!! Jordyn woke up in a great mood and she has already ate more today than she did all of yesterday! She has played a lot too. She is allowing me to leave the room, and is staying with Michelle, (you're an angel for giving me this break-THANK YOU!)

I know it's late, but we've had a slow and actually kind-of boring day. Jordyn slept quite a bit,but she did play some. We can always count on bubbles to bring her a smile.
She was hooked up to TPN tonight, and will be for 22 hours a day, until she finally starts to eat again.
A special message to Michele:
Thank you for being her e with us this past week, you don't know how much it has meant to us. We love you and will miss you. Have a safe trip back to Brazil.

Well, in less than 24 hours Jordyn will have her BMT!!!!! The marrow should be in the hospital now and in the morning they will begin to take out the T-Celss from the new marrow. I don't know if you all know but we know that the donor is a 39 year old male from the mid-west. Who ever you are - THANK YOU ! Whether Jordyn beats this or not, you have given us hope for a future with Jordyn in it.
Michele left tonigt, and we already miss her. It has meant so much to have her here with us for the last 6 days.
The response from this page has been wonderful. Thank you all for caring and loving our little girl. She is the world to us, and so much more. Please continue to pray for her, that is all we can ask for. We have recieved requests about her address and what she is allowed to have in her room.
The things that she can not have are stuffed animals, they are normally wonderful gifts, but they can hold in bacteria and are not allowed in the ward.
To send a card or anything to Jordyn send it to the following:

Well, today is the day. Right now the time for the trasplant is between 2 and 3 pm. But that time may change a few more times. The marrow is in the hospital so that is good. Jordyn has been vomiting a lot today and sleeping and resting quite a bit. She does not feel well. I will write another update after she gets the new marrow. Keep her in your prayers.

Hi well, Jordyn now has a new bone marrow in her body! They brought the marrow into her room at 3:20 and was hooked up and began infusing it at 3:40. It was transfused over an hour and half. It was really quite simple, and the marrow looked like water!
Jordyn was in a good mood for about 20 or so minutes, she talked to her grandpa and grandma Flewelling. We love you both!
Continue to pray for Jordyn, and keep sending your love.

Hi to all, it is only 10:30 am so there's not a lot of news on Jordyn, but incase you haven't looked yet, there are 3 pictures of Jordyn now on the web-site. THANK YOU
CONNIE!!!!! Jordyn already seems to be feeling better than yesterday, is is once again drinking water! She has only taken sips here and there over the last few days. I am hoping maybe she will feel like taking a few bites of food, it's a long shot, but I can hope! We will probably switch out pictures about 1 a month, so watch for her. The first picture is her in her Movie Star outfit, that Grandma F bought her, while we were in KS in Aug-Sept., and she wore it for Halloween.
Keep sending your prayers and love to Jordyn.

Hi well here's a later update. Jordyn has been fever free all day, but now has one. She also tested positive for bacteria in her blood, it is called Gm-bacillus.Okay now are you ready for all the antibiotics she is on? Here goes:
1. clindamycin
2.vancomycin
3.cettazidime
4.gentamycin
5.fluconazole
6.acyclovir
7.amphotericin
8.methylpredisone
Yes that is all in one day, that she recieves these!!!!!
She is feeling ok, about what we should be expecting. Now it looks like she may have a cold sore, but she's already getting the antibiotic for that, the acyclovir. So she 's covered if it is truely that. She hasn't vomitted too much to day, and has let her Nana and Aunt Arica, (daddys' family) hold her, quite a bit. Thank you both fopr coming up, it means a lot.
Continue with the prayers and love.

Sorry for the late entry, it's been a long day. Jordyn has temperatures up and down, but mainly up. She has smiled a couple times tonight, but not enough. She has her first mouth sore it's on her tongue, it just formed today. She had two cold-sores last night, and they are already disappearing. (Thank G-d for antibiotics). We will know the exact name of the bacteria that is in her blood in 48 to 72 hours. We want to thank Shirley, Arica, and the kids for coming up. Chad definately needed your support, and we hope you have a safe drive home.
Please keep sending your prayers and love to Jordyn.

Hi well Jordyn is doing well today, she has a small sore on the tip of her tongue, her first mouth sore. She is still drinking water for us! She smiled a couple times when her special friends, Sonya and Gary Hargraves came in! She still loves Telletubbies, I wonder when she will grow out of this ? She did do her mouth care realy well, so every day is a small improvement in it's own way. Please keep sending your prayers and love.

Monday, November 22, 1999 at 07:06 PM (CST)

Well, we are making progress today! Jordyn decided about 7pm, eastern time, that she wanted out of her room, and she walked over to the door, and proceded to cry for a good 20 minutes!Grandma and grandpa F got to hear that lovely sound!!!!
She also blew bubbles, sitting in my lap, and then fell asleep after about 10 minutes.
She also now has 3 mouth sores, and it will only get worse. I am not looking forward to it.
Continue those prayers and sending love to Jordyn

Tuesday, November 23, 1999 at 06:27 PM (CST)

Hi well not much has happened today, we still don't know the sub-type of the e-coli bacteria yet, but there have been NO FEVERS today! We are hoping that in the next few days that Jordyns' new marrow will take, and then we can move on from there.
We want to thank all of you for your coninous prayers that you are sending to Jordyn. With Thanksgiving coming up on Thursday we want to tell you all to have a wonderful day, and if any of you are out on the road, please be careful.
Keep up the prayers that her marrow grafs aka takes.

Well, Jordyn had a fever again, and she also had to get plateletts and blood. Her plateletts were at 6! and her Crit was 17. She is also starting some new drugs, that I don't know haow to spell, but they are part of her recovery. She ate rive cereal for me this morning and drank some water. Last night she drank and ate the same things, so she is doing really good with that! She has been acting like her stomach is hurting her so they are going to start her on some morphine. They figure between having the sores in her tummy and having a lot of stools, (yesterday she had 11 dirty diapers! ) that is reason for thet pain. We are hoping that she starts getting counts soon, but she has plenty of time, so we are not worrying about it yet, we are just anxious!
Jordyn was up and walking again last night so that is wonderful, and we hope she walks today again. We are going to start working her muscles so that they do not get weak, the physical therapist gave us some excerices to do with her.
Keep praying for Jordyn, and sending her yor love.
