Spring Ordeal
The Spting Ordeal was a great expirence for all who attended, especially the candidates. There was lots of work to do at Hale Scout Reservation, and much work was accomplished by the 40 candidates. A great job by the Ordeal master Matt Treat and the Elangomat Master Adam Koloff
Oa Service Weekend
We had a super fantasic time at the O.A. Service Weekend. We repaired tent frames and put up tents, burned brush piles, moved the kayaks to the water front, smoked out rodents on one hillside. The summer camp kitchen staff was there to clean up the dining hall and prepared and prepared excellent food for the brothers. There was great fun at both dinner times, we had drawings for patches and money, there were gold birds given away, two part patches, $5.000 bills, and other fine stuff. NO ONE went away emptyhanded. Be sure and be there next year for this worthwhile, fun, and profitable event. Special thanks to Troop 4 and Troop 89, for showing in force with the whole Troop.
Lodge Advisors Minute Brothers, The deadline for nominations for the Golden Attow, Vigil, and Founder's Award is September 1, 2000. These nomination forms are available at the Scout Service Center and will be at the Summer Ordeal and Fall Fellowship. The Vigil Selection Committee will meet at Camp Garland immediately following the end of the Fall Ordeal on September 17th at approximately 11:00 AM to conduct its business. Our Lodge is currently busy calling out potential new brothers at the Hale Scout Resercation, Anywhere from 70-100 scouts are being called every Thursday night aat the new Amphitheater that your lodge is helping to finance. There is a new wooden deck that is really big and in its center is a fireplace. The sudience sits on split log benches made from the trees at camp. It is really going to be a wonderful addition to Summer camp after it is finished. I wand to commend those who attended the OA Sercice Weekend and the Spring Ordeal. All were held at Hale Scout Reservation and a tremendous amount of Cheerful Service was given to the Council. NOAC 2000 is comming up shortly and 47 brothers , 14 adults, 33 youths will be in attendance. The conference is being held at the Univesity of Tenessee at Knooxville. The contingent will be competing in volleyball, ceremonies, Indina dance, and serveral other events.

SUMMER ORDEAL
The Summer Ordeal was held at Camp Garland on July 14-16. We had serveral ordeal members seal there membership in our order, and become Brotherhood members. We also had about 49 condidates become members! A Great Job was done by our ordeal master Brandon Whitebook, and our Elangomat Master James Kuykendall. We had a little shortage of elangomats, so dont forget to attend the Fall Ordeal and give cheerfully as an elandomat.
CHEERFUL SERVICE
Don't forget our oath and please make plans to attend as many ordeal, and OA service weekends that you can.
