INTRODUCTION
The Ka’aba is a place
in Mecca, Saudia Arabia. Before the time of Moses, there were many
other Prophets who preached worship to only one God. Prophet Abraham was one of them, and it was
he who built the Ka’aba. After his
death, and up to the time of Prophet Mohammed, going to the Ka’aba was a yearly
pilgrimage for the Arabs of the immediate and surrounding area. Before Prophet Mohammed, it was used to house
many idols, and people went to worship these idols and do some rituals. Prophet Mohammed, like other Prophets before
him, denounced the worship of idols, and it was during his time that all the
idols were destroyed. Once again the
Ka’aba became a place to celebrate the unity of Muslims in worshipping only one
God. All Muslims are required to go once
in his/her lifetime and perform the rituals therein.
DEVELOPMENT

rituals as shown in the book (“My Religion is Islam” by Labiba Hassan and
