Driving into that metropolis known as...my town. =P

Commercial Street, the swingin'-est street this side of...Sydney Mines. Note the cops in front of Subway; yup, we're well-protected.

My sister's favourite construction sign--don't ask me why.

A view across to Point Edward.

Driving through Point Edward--Shore Road. Ignore the reflection in the picture; my sister was taking pictures through the window. =P

More Point Edward, I'm assuming.

The homestretch--our exit! That silver car ahead of us is driven by some nerdy-looking guy who tried to pass us, but we kept speeding up so he couldn't get by. LOL When he finally did he wasn't too happy, as evidenced by his stinkeyes through his rearview mirror.

The highway home from the university.

Ahead there is the overpass where our entire journey began (this picture was taken when we actually found our way the hell out of wherever we were).

Hurray!! We know where we are now!

Picture taken from Point Edward.

Heading along towards Westmount--we saw Mario Durocher! =P

Back roads; old highway

Back roads; old highway #2

We figured we'd driven too far when we found civilization had reverted. Get a car! (we really should have asked her for directions, especially since she lives on the quarter horse breeding farm I've heard about but never actually found)

You can't really tell, but that twisty sign says "NARNIA". fweee; more people on Cape Breton with imagination! =P

Back roads; old highway #3

Back roads; more old highway #4

At the "fork in the road" at the end of Northwest Arm Band (hehe, funny name). Left or right?

Just coming out of Sydport

Point Edward again

A look backward and across the harbour toward my hometown and the Marine Atlantic boats (passage to Newfoundland) on the prowl.

Point Edward AGAIN.

Oooh, here we go--a few years ago a TV series, 'Pit Pony' was filmed here in Cape Breton, and the facade set that served as early 20th century Glace Bay is still standing on the old sound stage lot in Sydport. I'm always giddy when I drive by it (TV filmed close to me! =P), so I finally got a picture.

Another shot of the Pit Pony set--to the left you can see the edge of what used to be the soundstage; it closed down shortly after production finished. =(

Haha, that building across from Westmount is one of the tallest in Sydney--we're so tiny.

Roadwork on the old Westmount road! Hurray.

My sister gets the greatest kick out of this place--Sid's Used Furniture Store on Charlotte street in Sydney. LOL So she took a picture (see part of my hand!)

I honestly forget where this was taken. LOL
