This album was the most popular Wu-Tang cd released containing some of the phatest hardcore lyrics and dope bass beats to help kick it. It also contains a variety not by beats but by the lyricis itself. With the 9 members of the crew they all have their unique style that keeps the listener entertained and makes it catchy at the same time. This album is definately hardcore when you listen to the interludes they demonstrating their thoughts on what would be the best way to torture someone. "Protect your neck" went to the top 10 in the US R&B, Hip/Hop charts.
This double cd isn't the catch that the first album but is a great buy using computer features which has a Wu-Tang game on it. The beats are more future type bass which gets abit boring as you go through the album. This is a good pick up for a dedicated Wu-Tang fan but I wouldn't recomend it to anyone who didn't like the first album. "Little Ghetto Boys" uses the old style chorus from the original song but has bass beats that make it more modern/future hip/hop. "Da City" is a good song for those die hard fans and should help make this cd sell.
After all the Wu-Tang clan has done for themselves and the reputation they got they mess it all up with this wack album. The beats are just awfull and the lyrics just don't hit you and I was very disappointed with this quality by a group I had alot of respect towards. The is how ever one dope song on the album which is arguably the best they have producted using oldschool and catchy styles that is getting them into the charts and is looking to even make a hit on the pop charts. But please, don't make the same mistake I did, buy the single!
