Rakim

After being out of the hip/hop game for 4 years Rakim made his first solo album in 1997 "The 18th Letter" which also included "The Book Of Life" which has hits from his past albums with Eric. B. This album is a big change from his previous albums as he uses dj's and far better beats then he used to. He used to be all about rhyming but he now introduced skillz and rhythme. "Guess Who's Back" is an awesome song, you can listen to it 1000 times and never get sick of it. Every hip/hop lover will love this cd.

"The Master" is another great album by Rakim that has mad rhymes and beats involving some very skillfull dj's that help Rakim wreck the sets all over again. This album is another one of the must haves. "When I B On Tha Mic" is crazy turntable mix with DJ Premier and has got some publicity with the single he released in 1999 but wasn't really noticed as much as expected. This album may not be Rakim's best but is upto his potential. Rakim maybe the most gifted rapper that ever lived!
