| 1. Goals: My goal is to achieve Blackbelt by the age of 40 or at least by death, in the best form available to my physical and mental body through conditioning and practice. My background goals are: 2. To continue on with my happy family in health and safety and endeavors that make us smile and grow-as individuals. 3. To continue to support my son and my son's goal setting of positive acedemics and a military career. 4. To continue with my education pursuits of 2 associates in the legal/criminal justice field. 5. To continue to work where the best is brought out of me. 6. To continue to participate and to grow with my historical recreation family in arts, sciences, and combat knowledge. 7. To continue to keep my eye on the best fitness for me-both mentally and physically. 8. To continue to form close bonds in my apartment community for the betterment of society and self. 9. To continue to be invaluable at work while recognizing that what I learn is invaluable to my soul-self. 10. To continue to help the families in my spheres-where and how I am able. 11. To continue to recognize when I need to let something or someone go on their journey without me. 12. To continue to learn the music of violin and guitar and perhaps again, flute. 13. To continue to work my vocals. 14. To continue to make the time for the family and the friends. 15. To continue to be fiercely proactively protective of my family unit against any influences that may seek to bend and change it to the negative. 16. To continue to react with clarity, precision, and restraint in times of immediate danger to self and/or others. 17. To continue my pursuit of competency within the language russian. 18. It is a goal to keep a journal of my goals. 19. It is a goal to keep a journal of my hinderances to goal achievment-and to share these with you *this is going to be my most difficult, because I get stuck thinking about them because I am worried about being stupid or offending, or I think myself into a knot...or forget...or procrastinate...or can only define a part of it and dont want to give a half answer. 20. It is my goal to feel comfortable within the dojo to use the weights. 21. It is my goal to find my place within karate-ka dojo chores. 22. It is my goal to make (and keep) friends within the dojo. 23. It is my goal to not let my ignorance/lack of knowledge of the chain of command within the dojo keep me from communicating with that chain of command-or from stalling me from being myself around that chain of command or from feeling inadequate as a person. 24. It's my goal to not let my misunderstanding of the belts and titles make me afraid of being happy around you all-while maintaining the proper respect and guidelines. -I could use a lesson here- 25. It is my goal to recognize when I need a private lesson-and to ask for it. 26. It is my goal to practice everything required in the manual and to understand these things prior to everyone having to deal with my long 'trying to understand' the more common things (such as courtesy and offend and prove and respect: these things had different asian equivalents for servants-uh. yeah.) that maybe were not covered during my far too strange childhood-and thus exists my misunderstanding of them, even with dictionary help. 27. It is my goal to not let personal 'baggage' affect others negatively-within reason. 28. It is my goal to enhance my journey with the karate of the Academy of Steve Curran with the stretching, breathing, and affirmations from Beach Body's Yoga Bootie Ballet-for the knee-shorter leg-I know to be a benifit to the knee I can't stretch; damaged lungs; and my self-esteem; which I'm not sure how to regulate without first understanding a proper non offending concept of respect, offend, courtesy, and prove. 29. It is my goal to enhance immediate combat defense, and mental and health outlook, through Kanarek's Haganah F.I.G.H.T., Vasiliev's/Ryabko's Russian Martial Art, and YBB-on videos or dvd. It is my goal to grow this library. 30. It is my goal to not disregard goals I have not yet set here and to update periodically. 31. It is my goal to not become self consious that my level of concentration during class technique offends others and thus I should change it--Instead, It is my goal that I find peace with myself. in this situation *this will also be my most difficult goal. (I've had people say I 'look' angry-but am never angry in those moments-just watching periphrials with one eye and a suppliment of the eye the brain does not register-birth defect) 32. It is my goal to clarify misunderstandings promptly. 33. It is my goal to not let that goofy look from my dead eye cause misunderstandings with others. 34. It is my goal to not remember anything I chose not to learn at mcdojo martial arts and to forget anything that was taught at mcdojo martial arts-while continuing on with the honor of the teachings of the Academy. *This will be my easiest goal. 35. It is my goal-to remember-to achieve-my goals, OS! 36. It is my goal to continue my enrollment for as long as I am welcome too. 37. It is my goal to keep a list of the people who I would invite and my personal reasons for and against invitation 38. It is my goal to continue to drink alcohol only in secure settings when at all and to never use drugs or be in the presence of drug usage. 39. It is my goal to continue to diary my truths and perception of experience and to take personal ownership of them, instead of keeping them bottled up inside. 40. It is my goal to stay my tounge when what I have to say is too offensive. 41. It is my goal to retrieve an at reach competency of belts 1-3. (sigh. again). 42. It is my goal to seek out the medical attention needed for prolonged sports injuries. 43. It is my goal to eat the very best food for my bio-organism. 44. It is my goal to write poetry-without fear of critisism. 45. It is my goal to send greeting cards to my family and friends. *This will be a difficult goal. |
