Summary: [[Those Lips of Yours]] Nobody asked me to be what I am. They see my skin, my teeth, and my eyes. Ive always been appalled by my reflection, and I expect them to be afraid, but theyre intrigued. Mortals are fools. [[Written in blank verse.]]

Chapter Three

My Bloody Love

Authors Note: If anybody reads this and thinks it is somewhat similar to Interview with the Vampire, dont be alarmed and accuse me of copying. It only has inspired to write my story and share with all.

You know you love me,

mellie

-------------------------------------------------------

The taste of blood was at first repulsing,

blood being a thick,

sour fluid.

I remember grimacing,

slowly sucking on the puncture marks.

But no sooner did it begin to taste sweet.

Rich, creamy, luscious,

fulfilling every insatiable cravings I ever had in my life.

It was as if every moment in my life

I had craved for a certain flavor,

blood satisfied the craving.

The blood was like candy,

a lover.

I hungrily drank mouthfuls of the vampires blood,

my body becoming warm and sensations I never experienced before.

Then somewhere from inside me

there was a rapid beating in monotone.

I was not sure what was causing the sound,

but I could feel it and hear it.

It was a thrilling sound.

But then another beat joined it,

both beating in unison.

I felt my heart thud in the same chorus as the beating,

and it must have been my heart beating with the vampires.

Our hearts were racing,

and so was the vampires breathing.

I heard his breath come in long,

deep gasps.

We have shared each others blood:

my blood flowing with his

and his with mine.

While I was enjoying these emotions,

he must have said something, but I did not hear.

The vampire and I were together as one,

our hearts beating together,

us two strangers becoming one whole.

The bloods warmth and comfort gave way.

As much as I didnt want to but I knew I had to,

I ripped away from the vampires wrist,

each of us flying in different directions

onto the ground.

I felt fire consuming me from inside,

my body writhing in the depths of Hells fire.

"What is happening to me!"

I managed to cry.

I clawed at the ground,

a collection of dirt and

parts of dead leaves under my nails.

My head was throbbing,

my legs unable to support me,

the acids in my stomach felt like it were eating away my insides.

My body jerked towards the vampires direction.

I took a quick glimpse at him before I closed my eyes,

trying to shut out the pain,

the agony.

"You are dying,"

the vampire replied,

the grace of his voice did nothing

nowhere near pacifying my torment.

I let out a cry of pain and frustration.

"Then you had fooled me!

I were to die either way."

He chuckled,

"It is only mortal death.

You will soon be born into immortality,

my love."

My body stopped thrusting in pain

and my eyes were open,

but my breathing stopped,

and all was black, just as the velvet sky.

When I awoke,

I was in the same position,

still staring at the sky.

But what I saw wasnt with my mortal eyes.

"Look with your immortal eyes,"

the vampire had instructed.

"Do you enjoy what you see?"

I hadnt answered his question with words,

but my look of wonder had.

It is hard to explain what I saw;

no human would understand or believe.

I rose slowly onto my feet,

as if that I moved too quickly

Id be deprived of this wondrous magic.

My eyesight,

hearing,

and smell grew keen.

I was able to see details

I was never able to see before.

I was able to see clouds in the sky,

which my mortal eyes could not.

There was music in almost everything,

and I could hear them,

even the decaying of the dead bodies six feet under.

And I picked up the faint scent of rich blood,

though it was neither my makers nor mine.
