How do you accept Christ as your Savior?

I have questions for this endeavor

When you accept, is there a ceremony?

Or do you pray independently; lonely?

But Lord knows how I look to him for shelter

He knows I need Him when I wither

Wash away my sins and leave me with purity

No longer keep my lies in obscurity

I want to be His helper, if I haven't been already

I can almost feel his hand on my shoulder, keeping me steady...
