My Little Cactus Girl
(In memory of Harleen Heir)
There once was a girl with unforgettable eyes
Everyone loved her and she never lied
She was studious, responsible, and was supposed to succeed
She was a great ruler and lived to lead
She was intelligent and respectful right to the end
She tried to help everyone with things they needed to mend
Bringing humour was one of her gifts
And always gave our sadness a great big lift
She loved to help and get us to smile
And never made us feel like we were on trial
Her laugh was contagious, it was a joyful ring
I'll never forget the happiness she used to bring
When she entered a room
She always brought it to bloom
The walls would become brighter
And the room would fill with laughter
She was kind, caring, and lovable
Always awesomely delightful
Pictures of her with her sweet face
Maybe now she's in a better place
That was my Little Cactus Girl,
May she rest in peace.
